- Amazing ExperienceDecent build quality with good fit and finishing with affordable price Hero Electric Photon is a beautiful looking scooter. The overall size and look are great. It offers good riding experience and good performance. The battery pack is easily removable and detachable. It has user-friendly features and reliable brakes. It has a well-balanced ride and handling but hardware should be improved. It is very easy to handle in traffic but has Low ground clearance. Hero has a widespread network in India and its portable battery is also a good point.Read More1
- Good matte finishI like the matte finish touch that Taa has tried to give to this model and obviously, it cost more than other models, the starting price range starts from 90k, and with a change in color option, the price might increase as well. It is the high-speed model by Tata, I wonder wh the name Photon is given but I like it anyways.Read More
- Light and smoothThe price range starts from 91k, and Photon is a decent electric scooter with a riding range of as claimed 108km per charge. The top speed of 45kmph is a flexible feature in Mumbai’s heavy traffic and also, feels light weight. The handlebar is smooth and easy to maneuver and, it has a combined braking system on both wheels.Read More
- Features and performance good for city useFor someone who wants to explore the world of evs, the Photon is the ideal e-scooter. The scooter's features and performance are enough for city use, and the price is reasonable. But regrettably, the majority of big areas lack showrooms for the brand.Read More
- Low maintenance cost makes it specialExtra security is always advantageous. Get it on your ride with the Optima HX's Remote Lock & Antitheft Alarm feature. With a top speed of almost 40+ kms/h and a driving range of 108km per full charge, the Photon HX proves to be a good option for city riding and daily commute with its respective price.Read More1
- It Is A Good ScooterIt is a good scooter, with two 48V28AH Li-ion battery, 1200/1800 Watt motor, can propel you to 40-45 kmph Each battery at a moderate speed will run for about 50 km, so the total will be 100+ km. But for full-throttle ridding, it will go for about 80-90km. Still, it was reliable, because there are two batteries and you can switch the battery 1 and 2 with a switch. The only problem is, the switch is inside the seat, you have to stop, get down and flip the switch. The way we received the scooter from the dealer, that its speedometer was broken, which the dealer never repaired with various excuses, and we didn't care too, so far at the scooter is running. In one year, the battery started to swell. We didn't notice a big drop in mileage, we thought, it is a normal capacity loss in a year. But then one of the batteries swell a little too much, but it was working, so we kept it running. The judgment day came on Jan 18, when we were going to a place about 30km away from home, the scooter gave up on the way. The rear wheel feels jammed, even though it was a downhill, we could not make it coast. We knew something was seriously wrong, and our ordeal started from here. Somehow, we rented a pick-up and brought it to home, Rs1500. Called the original Sundergarh, Odisha dealer, his store is already closed with some loss. Got in touch with the Bhubaneswar distributor, from him got the contact of Sambalpur, Odisha dealer. All of them suggested filing an online complaint. But the hero site does not have a complaint system that would generate a number, just a web page to enter and submit. And there are email addresses and customer support 1-860 number. We tried to call that number, nobody picks up that phone. No reply to email or message from that page, totally useless. Then we contacted the Sbp dealer and he said there is no alternative than hauling the scooter again to 80 km. Rent a pick up again, another Rs 2000, scooter dropped at the Sbp dealer on 29-01-2021. Already about 2 weeks, nothing was done. The motor and battery seem to be in warranty for 3 years, but this is how the warranty works in Hero Electric. The latest info is, the dealer has removed the rear wheel is kept it apart, probably they will send it to the manufacturer, or what I don't know, there is no ETA of the completion. If the speedometer does not work from the first day, if the battery starts to swell in one year, if the motor stops working in one year, then I think there is a serious quality issue here. I was a big promoter of EV, due to which I agreed to pay 93K for a scooter, that runs only 100 km in a charge. But I would suggest against it for the time being or suggest to try another make, for now, probably Okinawa would have been a better choice. It has a bigger battery, heavier, faster, at a slightly higher price.Read More74 3
