Bajaj Discover DTS-Si was my first bike. I bought it in 2012 for Rs. 51500/- on-road and till date I have done only around 5000 kms on it. After limited but careful usage for over 3 years I am writing this review. This is a very good commuter bike for city driving. I have enjoyed riding this bike even on long distance travel. Let me list some pros and cons for prospective buyers. Pros: 1.Great mileage (gives me around 75 (+/- 5) when used on the same day after filling) 2.Packs enough power for a 100 cc bike (~8 bhp).(have driven even passion which is supposed to be a premium bike in the 100-110 cc segment, but not as much power as discover 100cc) 3.Comfort and handling - Great nitrox shock absorbers - even pillion riders dont realize most small pot holes. generally it has received more compliments from pillion riders than from the riders themselves. 4.Reliable 4 stroke engine for continuous long and slow driving in cities. 5.Good gear system to handle speed and power. easy to shift as all are backwards. no confusion. 6.Very good look when compared to other bikes in the segment. Cons: 1.Very bad battery. My battery was gone within first 6 months. Bajaj must reconsider changing the battery vendor. 2.Inferior instrumentation. 3.Not so reliable Bajaj service stations. Not many cons with the product, but there may be few considerations one must do before deciding on buying a 100 cc bike. 100 cc bikes are meant only to be used as commuter bike. So, be sure you are looking for a simple, no hassles, mileage friendly bike for daily use. If you have requirements of looks, speed and power without any mileage considerations this is not the bike you would want to waste your money on. Long distance traveling on small bikes is not a good option. They basically lack enough power and speed to overtake on highways. Their low weight is another factor for low stability on highways. So those wanting to go for a 100 cc bike can definitely go for Bajaj Discover 100 CC if you know what exactly you want. I would recommend a buy.
