Rumour: Bajaj’s Next 100cc Bike Inspired by KTM?

We reported some days back that Bajaj is planning a highly advanced 100cc bike, and now some of our sources have reported us that this new 100cc bike might be a 100cc counterpart of KTM Duke 125cc. However, we are not that sure, but as Bajaj claimed that they are going to launch this bike in early 2013, it is the easier for them to launch a scaled down version of KTM Duke 125cc. Another strong possibility is that Bajaj might launch a 100cc off-roader to rival Hero Impulse that too again possibly based on another KTM bike-2013 KTM SX 125. If the Bajaj is going for the later option they have to work hard on the engine as the 125 SX features a 2-stroke engine.

Well, Bajaj is known for its affordable and impressive pricing and if the Indian two-wheeler marquee is developing the next 100cc bike based on one of the KTM bikes, it might cost around Rs. 70,000, so, it can rival Hero Impulse. Bajaj claimed that the bike will be the most advanced in the 100cc segment and will provide the much needed excitement to the potential buyers.

Well, we are expecting the same from the manufacturer, because they are the one, who changed the scenario of Indian bike industry a decade ago by launching India’s very own sports bike series Pulsar and provided an affordable option to Indian youth. So, hopes are high for this upcoming 100cc bike and as sources reported that it might be a KTM based bike, we are ready to welcome this bike with open arms.
