Mahindra touched 10K mark in 4 months

After entering into scooters segment in India, Mahindra two-wheeler has sold 1,000 scooters in the last 4 months. The company is gradually and steadily becoming popular in the two-wheeler market. Mahindra's three most specious scooters are Mahindra Rodeo, Duro and Mahindra Flyte in the Market. The company is now eyeing on a double-digit growth in its two-wheeler business within the next two years. The company has 8 percent market stake in the scooter segment and is also targeting to raise it more by this year. Mahindra's annual capacity to produce 5 to 6 lakh vehicles and intends to increase its production capacity in the coming future. "We are increasing and well keeping to grow to become a strong two-wheeler brand in this segment,"Mahindra & Mahindra (two-wheeler sector), President, Anoop Mathur, said in Mumbai. Bajaj Auto had already announced to exit from scooter production, after discontinuing Scooter production in Indian, Mahindra planned to debut into Scooter segment. Now, the company is seeing good response in the scooter segment. Mahindra's scooter are also performed well with satisfying all kind of expectations. These models give tough competition to main players in the automatic scooter segment. On the other hand, TVS Motor has recently launched its new automatic scooter "TVS Wego". Honda will also face a competition from automatic TVS Wego scooter in India. Apart from it, Yamaha Motor is going to introduce its two new premium bikes - Yamaha SZ and Yamaha YZF R125 by 2010-end.
