KTM RC 125 Deliveries Commence; Priced At Rs 1.47 Lakh

The RC 125 shares its engine and underpinnings with the 125 Duke

  • The KTM RC 125 shares its design with the RC200 and RC 390.
  • 124.7cc single-cylinder engine produces 14.5PS and 12Nm.
  • The RC 125 is the most expensive 125cc bike on sale in India. 

KTM, which began accepting bookings for the RC 125 recently, has announced that it has started delivering the bikes across India. Priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the RC 125 shares its bodywork with its older siblings, the RC 200 and RC 390.

However, the 125cc fully-faired sportbike gets an orange and black paint scheme when compared to the RC 200’s and RC 390’s orange with white colour option. The RC 125 also boasts of a couple of segment-first features such as clip-on handlebars, dual projector headlamps and a fully-digital instrument console.

Powering the RC 125 is the 125 Duke’s 124.7cc single-cylinder motor that is capable of producing 14.5PS of power and 12Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The WP 43mm up-side down front and rear monoshock too are shared with the 125 Duke. Braking is via 300mm front and 240mm rear disc, with single-channel ABS offered as standard.

Priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom), the baby RC is Rs 17,000 more expensive than its naked sibling. It’s nearest rival, the Yamaha R15 V3.0, which is powered by a larger 155cc engine, costs Rs 8,000 less.
