This only leaves the Dream Neo to be updated with CBS in Honda’s motorcycle lineup

  • The Honda Livo CBS is offered in two variants - drum and disc brake.
  • The former gets a price tag of Rs 57,539 while the latter is priced at Rs 59,950.
  • Honda’s Dream Yuga CBS retails at Rs 54,807 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi)
  • That’s a premium of Rs 560 over the non-CBS variant.

Honda has updated the Honda Livo and Dream Yuga with CBS (Combined Braking System). The inclusion of CBS pushes the Dream Yuga’s price to Rs 54,807. That’s a small price hike of Rs 560 over the non-ABS variant. On the other hand, the Honda Livo CBS is offered in two variants - drum and disc. While the former gets a price tag of Rs 57,539, the latter retails at Rs 59,950 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Apart from this, the Japanese bikemaker also updated the Honda CD 110 Dream with CBS recently, leaving only the Dream Neo 110 without the crucial safety update.

The move comes in light of the new government safety norms which make CBS mandatory on all new two-wheelers below 125cc effective from 1 April. Apart from the above-mentioned update, both the Honda Livo and Dream Yuga remain unchanged. The Livo features a semi-digital instrument cluster which gets a service due indicator and a clock. On the contrary, the Dream Yuga comes with body-coloured rear view mirrors and graphics which adds a dash of sportiness to the bike. Additionally, the bike gets rolling resistance tyres which help improve fuel efficiency as claimed by Honda.

Both the bikes are powered by the same 109.19cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 8.31PS of power at 7,500 and a peak torque of 9.09Nm at 5,000rpm. The motor comes mated to a 4-speed transmission.

In terms of competition, the Honda Livo goes up against the Bajaj Discover 110, Hero Splendor iSmart 110 and the TVS Victor. The Dream Yuga competes against the TVS Star City Plus, Hero Passion Pro and the Bajaj Platina Comfortec.
