UM Renegade Commando and Sport S Showcased at IBW 2016

The newly introduced motorcycle brand in India- UM Motorcycle showcased their recently launched Renegade Commando and Sport S at India Bike Week 2016. The bikes were launched at 2016 Auto Expo along with the Renegade Classic that was missing from the UML's stall at the IBW. All the three cruisers are powered by a 279cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, carbureted engine that has been tuned to develop 24.8bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 21.8Nm at 7,000 rpm.

UM Renegade Sport S is a sporty cruiser that looks like a baby Suzuki Intruder B.O.S.S. edition with its dual tone paint scheme and it comes with a price tag of Rs. 1.49 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi). Priced at Rs. 1.59 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new UM Renegade Commando is a low-slung cruiser with military green paint scheme.

The motorcycles come with an electric start and have an air filter with paper element innovation. Six-speed synchronized mesh has been added for easy cruising. The front wheel has telescopic suspension while the rear wheel has dual shock absorbers. These motorcycles have a fuel tank of 18 litres with a kerb weight of 172 kg. The 17" front wheel of the bike comes with a 100/70 section tyre and the rear 15" wheel gets a 140/90 section tyre. Both the bike features a 280mm disc brake at the front, while a drum type braking unit at the rear.

Another motorcycle of the series that was not present at the IBW- UM Renegade Classic just have some cosmetic changes with similar features and has been priced at Rs. 1.69 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi).
