Overview
The Indian buyers will soon be catered with four captivating cruiser motorcycles offered by UM Motorcycles under the Renegade nameplate. The series include: Limited, Commando, Sport and Duty that come with impressive body design and promises superior ride quality.
Renegade range is powered by four-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled engines that come coupled to a five-speed transmission system. However, their engine displacement varies from model to model.
Renegade Limited houses a 196cc engine while Renegade Commando comes with a 223cc carbureted powermill that churns out a peak power of 18bhp at 8,000rpm with a maximum torque of 15.5Nm at 5,500rpm. On the other hand, Renegade Sport is equipped with a 196.4cc engine generating out a maximum power of 15.22bhp at 7,500rpm with a peak torque of 14.67Nm at 6,400rpm. Lastly, Renegade Duty has a 149cc setup that develops 12.92hp at 7,630rpm with a peak torque of 11.32Nm at 6,360rpm.
UM Motorcycles Renegade Limited and Renegade Commando runs on 110/90-16 front and 130/90-15 rear tyres while the other two have 2.75-18 front and 110/90-16 rear tubeless tyres. The suspension setup has hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and hydraulic dual springs at the rear to ease the hecticity of unpleasant Indian roads. For enhanced braking, the company has fitted disc brake at the front and drum brake at the rear in the entire range.
The body dynamics of Renegade are pleasing for a cruiser bike lover as the company has spend enough quality time in the designing process. The bikes come with a round headlamp at the front which is a signature styling for these class of motorcycles. A sleek fuel tank design does its duty well in the looks department along with giving a good riding position to the rider. Except Renegade Sport, the three bikes feature a sporty split seat making them even more appealing. On the other hand, Sport comes with a solo saddle and a clear visor at the front that gives it a striking appearance. The series comes in a wide range of colors that make it even more desirable.
