UM Motorcycles Opens Its India Office In Delhi, Sales Might Commence in The Coming Festive Season

Putting an end to all the questions and curiosities, UM Motorcycles has finally set up its registered office in Okhla, New Delhi, which hints towards the company’s official entry into the vast Indian automotive market. The brand showcased its exotic machines at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo and received a good amount of appreciation from the audience. As per some sources, the company might start its operation in India around Diwali, which is a perfect occasion for buying new vehicles for people here.

UM Motorcycles will hopefully offer its four motorcycles in the Indian market namely: Renegade Commando, Renegade Sport, Xtreet and Hypersport. While Renegade Sport is a 196.4cc machine, the other three comes powered by a 223cc, single cylinder, four stroke engine that cranks out 16bhp to 18bhp of power and 15.5Nm to 17.69Nm of torque. The motorcycles are expected to fall in the price range of Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1.5 lac (ex-showroom price).

The brand will need to stay competitive throughout in order to hold a better grip of the Indian two-wheeler market. With leading brands offering their machines under this segment since a long time, this American motorcycle maker will have to remain more focused and attentive in order to build up its empire for a long term in the country.
