The Honda SP 125 gets the biggest hike of Rs 1,763

  • A total of 9 vehicles from Honda’s portfolio have received an increment.
  • After the Activa 6G and Activa 125, the Grazia too has received a price hike.
  • Increased manufacturing costs could be the reason behind the latest hike in prices.

Price hikes have become a routine ever since the transition from BS4 to BS6 emission norms. Almost all two-wheeler brands that operate in the country have increased prices of their offerings to offset the cost of updating their motorcycles and scooters to meet the new emission norms. Honda recently updated the prices of its popular scooters, the Activa 6G and the Activa 125, which you can read about by clicking the blue words. And now, it has given seven other models from its lineup a price increment:

Honda’s premium 125cc motorcycle, the SP 125, gets the biggest hike of Rs 1,763. The other models on the list get a price hike ranging from Rs 550 to Rs 650, while the Activa 125 gets the lowest hike in prices of Rs 107. Sadly, the XBlade, which already felt overpriced, has become even more expensive.

This isn’t the first price hike from Honda and we’re sure that it won’t be the last either, considering the rise in manufacturing costs due to the strict BS6 emission norms and the current pandemic.
