Key Specs of XBlade
Honda XBlade Highlights
Honda has hiked the prices of the XBlade. With this price revision, the Honda XBlade is pricier by around Rs 1,200. However, the price hike is still minor when considering the fact that Honda increased the price of the bike by a massive Rs 17,500 as part of the BS6 transition.
Honda X-Blade BS6 Price:
The Honda X-Blade BS6 is now priced at Rs 1,07,851 for the rear drum brake-equipped variant. The rear disc brake variant, on the other hand, costs Rs 1,12,241 (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). The bike is available in four colours.
Honda X-Blade BS6 Features:
Not much has changed in terms of features in the Honda X-Blade BS6. It continues to use an LED headlamp, hazard lamps function, all-digital instrument cluster with gear shift indicator, and a service reminder. That said, Honda has equipped the motorcycle with an engine kill switch. It also gets an optional rear 220mm petal disc for better braking performance. Honda continues to offer a single-channel ABS as standard.
Honda X-Blade BS6 Engine:
The Honda X-Blade BS6 draws power from the same 162.71cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected counterbalanced engine that you find on the new Unicorn BS6. However, it is tuned differently to produce 13.8PS at 8000rpm and 14.7Nm at 5500rpm. The addition of the counterbalancer should make the engine more refined. It is linked to the same 5-speed transmission as before.
Honda X-Blade BS6 Suspension & Brakes:
The Honda X-Blade BS6 doesn’t get anything too fancy in terms of underpinnings with the
frame suspended by a telescopic fork and a monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 276mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum with single-channel ABS is standard. It also gets the option of a 220mm petal disc now. The bike tips the scales at 143kg kerb (base rear drum brake variant), which is 1kg more than the BS4 model. The rear disc brake-equipped variant weighs 1kg more than the drum version.
Honda X-Blade BS6 Rivals:
The Honda X-Blade competes against the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V. However, in its price bracket, the bike also goes up against the Bajaj Pulsar 180F, TVS Apache RTR 180, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha FZ-S V3, Suzuki Gixxer, and Hero Xtreme 160R.
