    Overview

The 110cc motorcycle segment is packed with the competition with economical and practical commuters. Here is another promising commuter from the diverse portfolio of Honda, the CD110 Dream. With considerable power and torque numbers, superb mileage, numerous comfort and convenience features, it looks strong and impressive. The ground clearance of the bike has been re-tuned to match the Indian turf while the suspension assembly of a telescopic fork and hydraulic rear suspension plays a significant part in making daily commutes joyous and comfortable. On the convenience front, it gets under seat storage space and a rear load carrier that is brilliantly placed alongside the rear grab rail. The self-start switch kicks start your ride conveniently while the long seat lends you support and comfort. Plus, the AHO helps in improved vision not only in adverse weather conditions but when the sun is bright and shining. The HET-powered engine fitted on the CD110 Dream is now BS-IV compliant that means it doesn’t harm the environment anymore. It also gets an MF battery with viscous filter that doesn’t ask for much for maintenance.  Providing confidence to the rider are the drum brakes and the tubeless tyres.

    Design

The design of the bike looks straightforward with a tinge of modernity. The stance is typically commuter-like while the graphics, black-colored alloy wheels, rear grab rail and neatly laid-out twin-pod analogue instrument console add spice to the overall appeal of the bike. The commuter gets black as the base color which is played around with different colored body graphics (red, grey, blue and green) that makes it look attractive and modern. The 12V headlamp with AHO at the front along with a short visor looks neat. The fuel tank is not big and gels with the compact feel of the bike. The seat is long with enough padding to provide comfort to the rider as well as the pillion. The exhaust gets aluminium heat-resistant covering that also uplifts the bike’s appeal. The analogue instrument console gets a dual-pod design for speedometer and the fuel gauge. Giving the bike a pleasant end are elements like rear grab rail, rear load carrier and craft-fully designed tail section that has tail light, number plate and turn indicators. The 18-inch black alloy wheels look gorgeous. The front forks and half engine are dipped in black that add to its premium look. The bike also features a storage space just below the seat which is quite handy while you are on move.

Dimensionally, the bike measures 2043mm long, 737mm wide and 1084mm high. The ground clearance has been increased to 179mm and the wheelbase sits at 1285mm.

    Features

The combination of drum brakes, tubeless tyres and features like AHO is responsible to handle the safety duties on the CD110 Dream. The tubeless tyres give an additional range to the rider to reach the nearby service station in case of a puncture as they do not deflate immediately while the AHO makes path brighter and clearer for the rider to manoeuvre the bike during dust, fog, smog or on the sunny days.

    Engine, Mileage & Performance

The CD110 Dream houses the air-cooled, 4-stroke 109.19cc BS-IV compliant engine that is powered by Honda Eco Technology (HET) and mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The engine pumps out 8.31bhp of max power at 7,500rpm and 9.09Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. The commuter is capable of returning a fuel economy of 74Kmpl (claimed) and attaining a top speed of 86Kmph (claimed). It comes with a fuel tank capacity of 8 litres, which is not too big but enough for your daily commutes considering the economy it yields. Powered by the brand’s Eco-Technology engine, the bike returns impressive mileage without compromising on its performance, which is incredible.

    Handling & Ride Quality

The all-new CD110 Dream is bolted on the Diamond frame and features a reliable suspension setup of telescopic front forks and hydraulic spring loaded rear shocks. The setup ensures that the rough road patches are seen through with ease while the long wheelbase takes care of the stability at high speed. To give confidence to the rider while riding, there are components like 80/100-18 section tubeless tyres and the 130mm drum brakes at front and at the rear.

The Hero Honda CD100 was Fuel Efficient
The Hero Honda CD100 was one of the most reliable and fuel-efficient bikes of its time, perfect for daily commuting. If you're considering it today, it’s mostly a vintage or second-hand option. If you’re looking for a modern alternative, bikes like Hero Splendor Plus or Honda Shine 100 offer similar reliability with updated features.

      User Experience
At 4000 to 5000 rpm over vibration can feeling to the rider. Breaking was not sharper than the other bikes in this segment. Initial pick up was not good. Less maintenance cost is an good thing in this motor cycle. Engine refinement was imbalance in this motor cycle compared to other bikes from the Honda company manufacturing.
