What else can you get for the price of the new 125cc Honda scooter?

The last of the BS6 Honda scooters has arrived. the Grazia 125 has received its BS6 updates and is now priced at Rs 73,912 for the standard variant. Its deluxe version, which costs Rs 80,978, packs lots of additional bits and bobs that make it an attractive package. And if you are scouting for options around that price point, here’s a short list. Mind you, we are pitching only the top-of-the-line variants of each one of these two-wheelers.

TVS NTorq 125: Rs 73,365

The chief rival of the Grazia 125 remains the racy TVS NTorq 125. Its Race Edition gets snazzier graphics, an LED headlight and a hazard light switch, which is a bit unusual thing to have on a scooter. Despite meeting BS6 norms, the NTorq 125 hasn’t lost out on performance. The 124.8cc single still produces 9.38PS and 10.5Nm. And we must say that TVS making sure that the NTorq 125 is still a delightful little runabout is quite impressive.

Honda Activa 125: Rs 75,042

Honda likes to stay ahead of the curve and the Activa 125 is the proof of that as it was India’s first BS6 two-wheeler. Honda has given the scooter a lot of new features of which the quiet ACG starter really impressed us. The new Activa 125 is typically Honda, a very easy to ride two-wheeler with mellow power delivery and scoring high in terms of refinement. Also, between itself and the Grazia, the Activa 125 is the more powerful one. Surprising, isn’t it?

Suzuki Access 125: Rs 73,400

The king of 125cc scooters has to be the Suzuki Access 125. It is a no m-nonsense 125cc family scooter with engine refinement that puts even Honda to shame. The new BS6 version just elevates the brilliance of the Access 125 and outperforming the older scooter in both performance and fuel efficiency. It does lack modern features and Suzuki has done little to justify the extra asking price for the BS6 scooter.

Bajaj Pulsar 125: Rs 79,091

Bajaj has launched the split seat version of the Pulsar 125 pan-India. Apart from the split seat, split grab rails and a belly cowl, the bike remains the same as the Pulsar 125 Neon. The Pulsar 125 is one of the most refined Bajaj two-wheelers. It strikes a good balance between sportiness and practicality, making it one of the best selling two-wheelers to roll out from Chakan last year.

Honda SP 125: Rs 77,652

Honda has split the Shine and SP monikers and given us two new 125cc bikes. The SP 125 is the stylish and tech-savvy of the two. Underneath the flashy garb, it packs the same commuter-friendly 124cc motor that puts out a honest 10.8PS and 10.9Nm. Honda claims that the new SP 125 delivers better fuel efficiency than its predecessors.
