The Grazia is a breath of fresh air in a country of conventional scooters. The scooter gets enough touches to justify its premium price tag and will compete against the likes of the Suzuki Access 125 and Vespa 125 scooter lineup.

    Overview

The Grazia is positioned above the Activa 125, making it Honda’s flagship scooter in India. The design of the scooter is reminiscent of the Honda Dio but features substantial upgrades. It sports sharp lines and creases, a wide twin-pod LED headlight, large turn indicators, and sharp grab rails. It also features a fully digital instrument cluster which is a first in this segment. The display is large and easy to read with readouts like tripmeter, odometer, fuel gauge and 3-step eco speed indicator. The Grazia is powered by a 124.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine with power output of 8.63PS @ 6500rpm and a peak torque of 10.54Nm @ 5000rpm. Honda claims that the scooter can clock a top speed of 85kmph and returns a mileage of 46.7kmpl. It is available in six premium colour options - Pearl Nightstar black, Pearl Spartan red, Pearl Amazing white, Neo orange Metallic, Matte Marvel blue Metallic and Matte Axis grey Metallic. The Honda Grazia is currently offered in three variants starting from Rs 58,133, going all the way up to Rs 62,505 (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi). The Grazia goes up against the Suzuki Access 125, the TVS NTORQ 125, the Aprilia SR125.

    Design

Honda has added a lot of style quotient to the new Grazia with sharp angular lines all around. At the front, the Grazia has a dual-tone front apron that accommodates a wide twin-pod LED headlight, a first for any scooter in India. There are equally large clear lens turn indicators mounted above the headlight on both the sides. The rear of the scooter features a three-piece tail light and indicator cluster which comes together well, however, the taillights use conventional bulbs, unlike the LED bulbs in the headlamp. The Grazia uses a plastic body instead of a metal one and thus weighs 1kg lighter than the Activa 125 (108kg).

The Grazia gets an all-digital instrument console that houses a speedometer and a tachometer on top, while a separate digital display packs information like the fuel gauge, tripmeter, and odometer. Another highlight of the digital console is the new Eco speed indicator which is installed to indicate fuel-efficient riding. The scooter gets a small extra storage compartment option behind the front apron which has a mobile charging socket, and is roomy just enough to hold a mobile phone. The Grazia offers 18 litres of underseat storage which is quite decent for keeping your helmet or other items.

    Features

The Grazia comes with Honda’s Combi Braking System (CBS) as standard. This system applies both the front and the rear brakes simultaneously when only the rear brake lever is pressed. This enhances the braking system and avoids chances of skidding while applying sudden brakes. It also gets an all-digital instrument console which includes tripmeter, odometer, and a fuel gauge. Other unique features include an Eco speed indicator, 4-in-1 ignition that includes the seat lock switch, and an additional storage option with a mobile charging port.

    Engine, Mileage & Performance

The Grazia is fitted with the same engine that powers the Activa 125 and produces similar figures. The 124.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine generates max power of 8.63PS @ 6500rpm and peak torque of 10.54Nm @ 5000rpm, paired with a CVT gearbox. The Grazia is extremely responsive from low to mid-range and thus can be easily manoeuvred through heavy traffic. Although Honda has positioned the Grazia as an urban scooter, it can smoothly cruise on the highways at a speed of 70kmph, beyond which the engine starts to feel strained. Honda claims that the scooter can reach a top speed of 85kmph and returns a mileage of 46.7kmpl.

    Handling & Ride Quality

Just like the Activa 125, the Grazia is fitted with a telescopic suspension at the front and spring loaded hydraulic suspension at the rear. It is equipped with a five-spoke black-coloured 12-inch alloy wheel at the front and a similar 10-inch alloy wheel at the rear, wrapped in either Ceat or MRF tubeless tyres. The top variant DLX gets a 190mm front disc brake along with a 130mm rear drum brake, while the lower variants get 130mm drum brakes at both ends. The Grazia comes with Honda’s Combi Braking System (CBS) as standard.

      Decent Bike

Mileage poses a significant issue with the Grazia. While the braking system is effective, it demands regular maintenance. If you prioritize cost-effective options with good mileage and low maintenance, Grazia might not be the ideal choice for you.

      Superb Performance

Superb performance, but the average is not good. I have been riding it since 2019, and it has never disappointed me. It can easily compete with TVS Ntorq in terms of drag race.

      Amazing design..

The Honda Grazia is the perfect scooter for youth with sporty looks to attract everyone. I am personally attracted to this scooter because of its sporty design, digital instrumental panel, mileage, and it's performance. It has low maintenance costs as compared to other scooters. And it's seat gives much better comfort for long rides. At last, I would say that this scooter is the beast.
