The limited edition model features two new dual-tone paint options. Gets blacked-out wheels and ‘Limited Edition’ decals. Powered by the same 110cc engine as the standard variant. Shares its underpinnings with the standard scooter. Commands a premium of around Rs 400 over respective standard and the DLX variants.

Honda has launched the limited edition model of the Activa 5G in India today. The limited edition Activa 5G is available in both variants: STD and DLX. While the STD variant is priced at Rs 55,032, the DLX model retails for Rs 56,897 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi), a premium of Rs 400 over the standard scooter.

The Activa 5G is available in eight single-tone paint options. However, to add a dash of freshness to the lineup, Honda has introduced two new dual-tone colours (black/silver and white/gold) for the limited edition variants. The new paint options comes with a pinstripe at the front, which makes it stand apart from the standard variant. Other changes include blacked-out wheels and ‘Limited Edition’ decals on the side body panels. The white/gold paint option also gets a brown seat cover, which is a first for the Activa 5G.

Apart from cosmetic changes, the scooters remain identical to the variants on which they are based. Powering the Activa 5G is a 110cc motor that churns out 8PS of power and 9Nm of torque. In terms of competition, the Honda Activa 5G rivals the TVS Jupiter (Rs 52,645), Yamaha Fascino (Rs 55,623), and the Hero Maestro Edge (Rs 51,530) (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda is also working on the Activa 6G and details about the upcoming scooter were recently revealed. The new Activa 6G might get connectivity features such as turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts as seen on the TVS NTorq 125. As new emission norms are all set to kick in from 1 April 2020, expect it to be BS6-ready.
