The Pune-based automaker- Bajaj Auto has reported a sales hike of 9 per cent in the motorcycle segment during the month of February 2016. The company managed to sell 2,35,282 units of motorcycles in Feb 2016 as against the 2,16,077 units sold in the corresponding month of the last year.

If we talk about the YoY sales record of the company for a period of April - February, the company's performance is almost constant with a growth of 0.38 per cent. The company's sales during  Apr-Feb 2016 is 30,94,003 units, and that for the period of Apr-Feb 2015 was 30,82,147 units.

Bajaj's comeback in the most affordable segment with its CT 100 and a more affordable CT 100 B has helped the company to increase its sales figure in the recent months. Besides the most affordable range, the company also introduced new Avengers along with a smaller capacity 150 Street model that further boosted its sales in the premium segment. Although, the company discontinued some other models because of their poor sales in the market, new products compensated well for that.

The recently launched Bajaj V15 has also reached to the dealerships now and its deliveries are going to start soon. The bike has been priced very competitively at Rs. 62,820 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) that is surely going to be a big hit in the country.

Including the commercial segment, the overall sales of Bajaj stood at  2,72,719 units during Feb 2016 with a growth of 12 per cent as against the sales of  2,43,319 units in Feb 2015.
