Yamaha India has confirmed that it will fully pass on the benefit of the GST rate cut on two-wheelers to its customers. Starting September 22, 2025, prices of Yamaha motorcycles and scooters will be revised, and will be cheaper. The GST Council’s recent decision reduced tax on petrol-powered two-wheelers below 350cc from 28 percent to 18 percent, and now several brands have been announcing passing on the benefits to the customers.

The GST reduction makes the Japanese brand’s entire lineup more affordable, with benefits ranging from around Rs 6,300 on the RayZR to over Rs 17,500 for the R15. This price revision is effective from September 22, 2025. Customers planning to buy a new bike or scooter from the company may consider waiting until the revised pricing takes effect, especially since the festive season could also bring additional dealer-level offers.
We reached out to the brand regarding the pricing of the Yamaha R3 and MT-03. According to Yamaha, the prices for these two bikes will be cut by up to Rs 30,000. As for the spares cost, the bike maker has stated that the GST will remain at 18% as is. The R3 currently costs Rs 3,59,900 whereas the MT-03 price is Rs 3,49,900 (both ex-showroom Delhi).
