Here’s a summary of all the two-wheeler news that transpired during this week under one roof

It's been an exciting past couple of weeks with new launches, new product developments for India and EICMA 2018 almost upon us. In fact, the last week itself saw a couple of new bikes and scooters being launched in India. So, just in case you missed out, here's a roundup of all the two-wheeler news from the week gone by.

Upcoming Jawa Motorcycle spotted testing

The Jawa 300 has been spotted testing in India. Up until now, Mahindra-owned Jawa has played it pretty smart by just revealing the engine that will power the new bike. However, recent spy images which surfaced on the internet now give us an idea of what the bike might look like. And, from the looks of it, it is reminiscent of the old Jawa 350, albeit, with some modern components. For more images and details about the bike, click here.

2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R Pre-bookings commence officially in India

The Japanese bikemaker has officially opened pre-bookings for its mid-capacity sports bike, the ZX-6R in India. Customers can pre-book the bike for a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh, however, the offer is only valid till 30 November. A limited number of motorcycles will be imported initially, and depending on the response it receives, Kawasaki will decide the future of the product in India. Deliveries for the ZX-6R will commence post January 2019. For more details, head here.

Royal Enfield teases new 834cc motorcycle

Royal Enfield teased a new big bike via its Instagram account and announced EICMA as its official launch platform. While a Bobber 650 was the obvious guess for most of us, latest reports suggest otherwise. According to Autocar Professional, the bike will feature an 834cc liquid-cooled, V-twin engine which churns out around 80-90PS of power. This engine was supposedly developed in association with Polaris back when the brand had a joint venture. For the complete story, click here.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey gets ABS

Royal Enfield dealerships across India have confirmed the launch of the Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey with dual-channel ABS. Not only this, the Desert Storm and Chrome variants have also been updated with dual-channel ABS. With the addition of the essential safety feature, all the motorcycles command a premium over the non ABS-equipped bikes. For prices and other details, head here.

Yamaha NMax 155cc Scooter India Launch On The Cards

With the booming 125cc scooter space in India, it’s no surprise that most two-wheeler manufacturers have had a go at the segment. Hence, the segment is filled with options to choose from. Japanese bikemaker Yamaha, meanwhile, intends to skip the segment altogether and enter the 150cc scooter segment instead with the NMax 155. The sporty maxi-scooter packs some never-seen-before features in its segment, like LED lighting at both ends, a fully-digital instrument cluster, ABS and much more! For a detailed look at the scooter and its features, head here.

Okinawa Ridge+ Launched; Priced At Rs 64,988

While the standard Ridge impressed us with its mileage, the Ridge Plus, according to the company, packs even more features, a better range and a removable lithium ion battery. On the features front, the Ridge+ gets central locking, an anti-theft alarm system, keyless entry and more. For more details on the scooter and its features, click here.
