Jawa Perak Bookings Open: Here’s When You Can Get The Bike

Bookings will be accepted via Jawa’s official website. Deliveries will commence from April 2, 2020. The Perak is priced at Rs 1,94,500 (ex-Delhi). It’s powered by a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC motor.

Anxiously waiting for the factory custom bobber from Jawa? Here’s some good news for all you enthusiasts as bookings for the Perak will commence at 6 pm on January 1. Now that’s one way to celebrate New Year’s, ain’t it? Deliveries though will begin from April 2, 2020. We’d also like to point out that the brand will be accepting only a limited number of bookings, to begin with, so we suggest you grab hold of this opportunity while you can. The bike is priced at Rs 1,94,500 (ex-Delhi) -- Rs 30,500 more than the standard Jawa.

Jawa has limited the number of bookings to ensure smooth production and logistics. However, the frequency of bookings (every three months) will make sure customers have plenty of opportunities to book the bobber.

Thankfully, the Perak is quite close to the pre-production model that was unveiled last November. A single-seater hardtail with fat tyres, a sweet-looking engine and a stealth black paint scheme. What’s not to like, eh?

Plus, the engine on the Perak is a bored-out version of the 293cc motor seen on the Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two. The 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC motor churns out 30.4PS and 31Nm, mated to a 6-speed transmission. More importantly, this is the first BS6-compliant Jawa.

In terms of underpinnings, the Perak uses a telescopic fork and a monoshock neatly placed under the seat. Bringing the bobber to a halt are disc brakes at both ends paired with dual-channel ABS. Its 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels come wrapped in Ceat Zoom Cruz tyres measuring 100-section up front and 140-section at the rear.
