If it is, It would be the perfect rival to the India-bound Honda Rebel 300

The Hyosung GV300S Bobber is priced at 4990 Euros, which is around Rs 4.07 lakh. It features a distinctive, minimalistic bobber styling complete with a V-twin engine. The motorcycle churns out 30PS and 25.6Nm.

Hyosung has launched the GV300S Bobber in France and other select European countries. The motorcycle is priced at 4,990 Euros, which translates to around Rs 4.07 lakh. An interesting tidbit is that in the Korean market, Hyosung already retails the same motorcycle in a 125cc guise, called the Aquila 125.

The Hyosung GV300S Bobber comes with quintessential bobber styling with minimalistic bodywork, chopped fenders, peanut shaped 12.5-litre fuel tank and circular headlight. Nestling inside the double cradle frame is a 296cc 60-degree SOHC V-twin engine which churns out 30PS at 8500rpm and 25.6Nm at 6500rpm. The engine works alongside a 6-speed transmission. Comparatively, its arch nemesis, the Honda Rebel 300, produces 30.4PS at 8000rpm and 27.4 Nm at 6500rpm from its 286cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine.

The motorcycle features a low 710mm seat. This coupled with the 169.5kg heft should make it fairly easy to maneuver. It employs a 35mm telescopic front fork with gaiters and twin rear shock absorbers. Brakes include a 270mm front and 250mm rear disc with standard dual-channel ABS. The small 16-inch front and the even smaller 15-inch rear alloy wheels are shod with meaty 120-section and 150-section block pattern tyres respectively.

Notable features include a compact semi-digital instrument cluster, hazard lamp, halogen headlamp, bulb indicators and LED tail lamp. Hyosung’s India operations got a jumpstart back in October 2018 by MotoRoyale, which took over the brand’s business in India. At the time, it launched the Hyosung GT 250 R and the Aquila GV 650. However, neither of these bikes did that well in the market after their reintroduction. Moreover, the bikes have not complied with BS6 emission norms either. So going by the current scheme of things, it is unlikely that Hyosung will spend resources in bringing the GV300S bobber to India.
