Hero MotoCorp has sold almost 5.9 million bikes and scooters in the financial year 2025, which is from April 2024 to March 2025. This is an increase of 4.9 percent when compared to the last financial year. Along with this, Hero MotoCorp has also managed to sell 5,49,604 bikes and scooters in March 2025 – an increase of 12 percent compared to March 2024. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the brand’s sales and future plans.

It is interesting to note that as compared to financial year 2024, the brand’s scooter sales have decreased. Whereas the sales of bikes have seen an increase of 5.5 percent. The increase in bike sales is no surprise as Hero has been working on bringing new models and updating existing ones.
During the course of FY24, the brand had launched the Hero Splendor Plus XTEC 2.0 in the commuter segment. Aside from this, the brand has also significantly expanded its footprint in terms of higher capacity bikes. This year alone we saw the updated Hero XPulse 210 and the Xtreme 250R, both aimed at enthusiasts.
When it comes to scooter sales, the brand has been dealing with increased competition from its rivals. It had recently launched the Destini 125, but compared to its rivals the scooter does fall short. Other than this, the brand had also launched the Xoom 160, which is a maxi-style scooter. Although we are quite excited for the Xoom 160, it is more of an enthusiast oriented model and likely won’t bring the same kind of sales as let’s say a family-oriented scooter.
In the EV segment, Hero Vida has seen a good growth of 40 percent with sales of 58,000 from April 2024 to March 2025. Other than this, the Hero is also working on expanding the Harley-Davidson X440 lineup, with more models in the pipeline.
Overall, Hero has quite a bit planned for the near future and we are quite excited to see what the brand has in store for us. We at BikeDekho are most excited for the upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 250 and the upcoming Hero XPulse 421. Both of which could be coming to India by the end of 2025.

After my experience of riding Hero HF100 for a couple of weeks ( about 210 kms) , I could narrow down to it, as it offers a minimalist design with great mileage of 50kmpl amidst busy roads of BKC - Andheri - Goregaon roads. For the investment in this bike, my expectations were very realistic. I felt that the handling is basic and easy with safety and comfort, especially when riding at speeds upto 50kmph. During the regular commute hours, the average vehicular speeds in Mumbai are in same range anyway. I would highly recommend this bike for a minimalistic person. This bike is for humble and grounded people. Perhaps, the people believing in social status or image may not appreciate this model as much.
