The SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) sales numbers for December 2025 reveal some interesting trends. Here is a look at the top five best-selling bikes in India.

Hero Splendor once again leads the sales chart. In December, Hero sold 2,72,441 units. This is 20.20% less than November sales, however a massive increment of 39% was seen when compared to the numbers from 2024. Even then, the Splendor sold more than double the units of the bike placed second on this list. Here is the on-road price of the Hero Splendor Plus in the top five Indian cities.

At number two is the Honda Shine 125, known for its style and reliability. Honda sold 1,25,266 units of this 125cc commuter bike in December. Sales dropped by 20.82% compared to the previous month, while there was an increment of 30.76% in terms of the year-on-year sales, which is quite significant.

Next is the Hero HF Deluxe, another popular commuter bike. In December 2025, Hero sold 49,051 units of this 100cc motorcycle. This was a 46.14% decline in terms of month-on-month sales, while a growth of 14.95% was seen when compared to 2024.

Bajaj Auto recorded strong sales for its Pulsar 125 range, which includes the Pulsar 125, Pulsar NS 125, and Pulsar N125. The company sold 36,576 units in December. That means sales fell by 39% compared to the previous month, and about 12.7% over last year.
In a related development, Bajaj Auto recently launched the 2026 Pulsar 125 in India.

Rounding off the list is the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the best selling bike in its category. It offers a perfect balance between retro design, great ride comfort, and good performance. Royal Enfield sold 34,958 units in December. There was a 0.44% increment in month-on-month sales, and an 8.34% increment in terms of the year-on-year sales.
As you can see, the common trend seems to be a fair decline in month-on-month sales. Apart from the fact that December is the last month of the year, and sales are generally on the lower side, the big month-on-month drop could also be due to the record-breaking sales in November triggered by GST-led price cut that coincided well with the festive mood in that month.
