Ola Electric has announced a mix of immediate and future-focused updates to its lineup, combining price cuts on existing models with the launch of a new high-performance scooter, and a preview of its upcoming electric superbike on the occasion of India’s Independence Day on August 15.
Big Price Drops
Ola has reduced prices on 2 of its models permanently, and the deliveries for the S1 Pro Plus as well as the Roadster X Plus will begin from November 22, on Navratri. Also, both EVs get an additional “Sankalp Special” discount of Rs 10,000 until 17 August 2025.
Ola S1 Pro+
The Ola S1 Pro+ now is priced at Rs 1,69,999 - down from Rs 1,99,999 (both prices ex-showroom). It uses a 5.2kWh battery pack. The cells are completely made in India, and are called 4680 Bharat Cell. As opposed to imported cells, these made-in-India ones help in keeping the costs competitive, and that is how Ola has been able to slash its prices.
The S1 Pro Plus comes with a claimed range of 320km for the 5.3kWh variant - impressive for an affordable electric scooter. That said, we’ll have to test and see how the real-world range is. Its claimed top speed is 141kmph, and can charge from 0-80% in 7 hours.
Ola Roadster X+
The price of the Ola Roadster X+ has been revised to Rs 1,89,999 from Rs 2,24,999 (both prices ex-showroom). It is the top-end variant under the Roadster X+ range. The electric motorcycle has claimed figures like a 9.1kWh battery also using 4680 Bharat Cell, 11 kW peak power, 58Nm torque, 125kmph top speed, IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 501km, and a 0-40kmph acceleration time of 2.7 seconds.
Ola S1 Pro Sport
Alongside the price cuts, Ola also launched the S1 Pro Sport at an introductory price of Rs 1,49,999 (ex-showroom). This is now Ola’s most premium electric scooter with the best specs available. It also has a 5.2kWh made-in-India battery pack, but now gets a 16kW motor, 152kmph top speed, 0-40 kmph pick up time in 2.0 seconds, 71Nm torque and 320km IDC range - all figures claimed.
Ola also says it will get ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The sporty e-scooter comes with a 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheel, a gas-charged monoshock; aerodynamic apron with winglets, windshield, plus grab handle and front mud guard with carbon-fibre texture. Deliveries of the Ola S1 Pro Sport is planned to start from January 2026, and the bookings are open at Rs 999.
Ola MoveOS 6
Ola also announced that it will be launching MoveOS 6 by early 2026 - with their own AI called ‘Krutim’ and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). This latest OS update will offer personalized AI suggestions such as improving range through ride data analysis, along with traction control for better handling on varied terrain.
The camera-based ADAS will include collision warnings (front and rear), blindspot detection, and adaptive cruise control. While some of these features may require hardware updates - we’ll have to wait and see if Ola offers these goodies to older electric scooters as well.
Ola Diamondhead
The company also unveiled a working version of the Ola Diamondhead electric ‘superbike’ concept, targeting a mid-2027 launch. Ola plans to price the electric bike at Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom). The company claims some really impressive figures for the Diamondhead.
Ola says it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 2 seconds, comes with ‘active aerodynamics’ and lightweight materials, hub-centered steering, ADAS with active braking, adaptive cruise control, adaptive suspension, and ‘extreme’ fast charging.
If Ola manages to implement all these features and specifications on the production version, then it will be the brand’s most advanced electric bike. That said, we’ll have to wait and see if Ola is able to deliver on all these fronts.
BikeDekho Says
With aggressive price cuts, a performance-focused new scooter, and an early glimpse at an ambitious electric ‘superbike’, Ola Electric is targeting greater market share in the short term, and long-term technological aspirations. How these plans finally translate into sales and on-road performance will depend on execution, customer adoption, and the pace of India’s rapidly evolving EV ecosystem.
