Overview
The upcoming next-gen Bajaj Pulsar 125 gets a major design change along with new hardware and features, making it a much more modern, sporty commuter. The bike is expected to be priced at Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the launch around the corner, the motorcycles have already started arriving at the dealerships.
Design
The latest spy shots reveal that the bike has gotten much sharper. It features a muscular fuel tank with sleek tank extensions. The tail section holds a redesigned version of the iconic Pulsar’s split tailights. This update modernises the motorcycle while retaining the familiar Pulsar silhouette.
Features
The biggest update that the bike gets is the new instrument console. This colour-LCD console gets Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, along with call and SMS alerts.
Engine
The upcoming Pulsar is expected to be powered by a newly developed engine. The spied bike featured a completely new exhaust system with revised routing. Official specifications are yet to be revealed, but we expect a more mature and refined engine along with punchy performance.
Underpinnings
The upcoming Pulsar 125 gets a monoshock suspension, replacing dual shock absorbers. It is expected to improve the handling of the motorcycle. Other things remain largely unchanged, including 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends with a front disc and rear drum brake.
Rivals
Once launched, the new Bajaj Pulsar 125 will rival the likes of the TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R , Honda SP 125 and Honda Shine 125 in the sporty commuter segment.
