An all-new design, engine, frame, long-list of features and much more

    Pulsar 125

Bajaj Auto has launched the all-new Pulsar 125 in India. Just like the newly launched Pulsar 150, this time the brand has given its best-selling commuter its first comprehensive update. The motorcycle gets all-new design, engine, chassis and features. Despite all this, Bajaj claims to have retained the familiar Pulsar styling and sporty character the bike has been praised for.

    Features And Hardware

Bajaj has finally given the Pulsar 125 an all-new design. There is a fresher-looking front-end with a sharper LED headlight and distinctive-looking DRLs. The side panels, fuel tank, and tail-light have been redesigned as well, giving the bike a more sporty appearance. The biggest highlight here is the addition of a 5-inch TFT console on the top-spec variant, while the base variant gets an all-new LCD console, both of which are the same units as seen on the newly launched Pulsar N160 SS and N160 S.

Both consoles support smartphone connectivity, SMS/call alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation. However, the TFT unit also offers music controls, Google Maps mirroring, and document storage. Other features include a hazard light button, USB type-C charging port, a silent engine starter, and a switchable engine start/stop feature. Along with this, the brand has also given this bike three riding modes: Road, Rain and Sport.

    Engine And Underpinnings

The new Pulsar gets a completely new 125cc, air-cooled engine, and it makes 12.1 PS at 8500 rpm, 11.4 Nm at 6500 rpm (0.3 PS & 0.6 Nm more than the old bike) and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The older engine was praised for its linear power delivery, refinement, reliability, and good fuel efficiency.

Bajaj has also updated the motorcycle’s frame and replaced the twin-shock rear setup with a more modern monoshock. This should make the bike feel more planted while also improving its overall handling. The motorcycle gets a front disc brake, and rear drum brake setup with CBS (combined braking setup). However, in 2026, a single-channel ABS should have been a great addition.

    BikeDekho Says

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 has always been one of the best-selling bikes from the brand. As for the new version sharper styling gives it more road presence, while the new frame, monoshock and updated engine make this a much more comprehensive update than a simple facelift. The biggest talking point here are all the new features on offer, with which the Pulsar 125 has got an upper hand when compared to its rivals like the Hero Glamour X 125, Honda SP 125 and TVS Raider 125.
