Overview
The upcoming next-generation Bajaj Pulsar 150 gets completely redesigned looks, a new engine, along with a revised chassis and underpinnings. It is expected to be launched soon to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Bajaj Pulsar family. The Pulsar 150 2026 has already started arriving at dealerships.
Design
The bike gets a comprehensive design update while at the same time staying true to the original Pulsar silhouette. It gets a new LED headlight and a redesigned tank with sharper extensions, giving it a sportier look. It will be available in both split-seat and single-seat options, while the iconic Pulsar taillight will also get a design update, and it looks a bit more modern than before. The bike also gets a redesigned, sleeker exhaust.
Features
The bike will get a 5-inch colour LCD console or a 5-inch TFT console, similar to the recently launched Pulsar N160 SS, depending on the variant. It will feature Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call & SMS alerts. The bike also gets a USB Type-C charging port for added convenience.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
The upcoming Pulsar 150 will get a newly developed engine, which will be air- and oil-cooled compared to the air-cooled unit present on the current-gen bike. We expect the engine to deliver punchy performance while also having smoother power delivery and better efficiency than before. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox. For perspective, the current-gen Pulsar makes 14 PS & 13.4 Nm.
Underpinnings
The biggest update on the Pulsar 150 is the new single-cradle frame with a monoshock suspension, replacing the twin-shock absorbers mounted on the double-cradle frame. The bike continues to get a telescopic fork, rides on 17-inch wheels, along with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear with single-channel ABS. We think the Split Seat version could get a rear disc, just like the current-gen model.
Rivals To Consider
The Pulsar 150 is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the Honda Unicorn, Honda SP160, TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and the Yamaha FZS-FI V4.
