BMW Motorrad has launched the BS6 G 310 twins with a number of updates and colour schemes

Both bikes come in with smashing price tags that undercut the KTM 390 siblings. They received a price cut of up to Rs 64,000. New features include new colours, LED lighting, ride-by-wire throttle, slipper clutch and adjustable levers.  Low monthly EMI on offer too.

There was a lot to cheer about at the launch of the BS6-compliant BMW Motorrad G 310 twins yesterday. Firstly, the BS6 G 310 R and G 310 GS get a stonking price of Rs 2.45 lakh and Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. That’s exceptional value for money, especially when you consider that the baby Beemers now undercut the KTM 390 siblings. You also get loads of goodies like LED lighting, ride-by-wire throttle, slipper clutch and adjustable brake and clutch levers over and above the new colour schemes and subtle design updates. The icing on the cake is the extended warranty and RSA that’s being provided by BMW Motorrad now. To elaborate, you get 3 years of extended warranty as standard for unlimited kilometres along with Roadside Assistance (RSA). This way, you wouldn’t have to worry about any manufacturing defects which would otherwise cost you a bomb to fix if the bike was outside the warranty period.

Customers can even extend this warranty to the fourth and fifth year for an additional cost of Rs 16,250. But if you're one of the first 500 customers, BMW will offer this to you for just Rs 5,499. Interested customers can purchase the BS6 G 310 R for a low monthly EMI of just Rs 4,500 per month. The baby GS, on the other hand, will set you back by Rs 5,500 per month.

When you put everything together, the BS6 G 310 R and G 310 GS now turn out to be quite the options in the sub-400cc motorcycle segment, and might just change the ballgame altogether.
