In a surprise move, the Chakan-based bikemaker has decided to absorb impact of increased GST rate on its 400cc bikes

While most motorcycle manufacturers are revising their prices upwards following the new 40 percent GST rate on bikes above 350cc, Bajaj has chosen a different path. The company has announced that it will not increase the prices of locally-manufactured 400cc Triumph and KTM bikes, effectively absorbing the additional tax burden.

This decision is significant because the 300-400cc segment is seen as an aspirational upgrade for many middle-class riders. By keeping prices steady, Bajaj ensures that enthusiasm around these motorcycles is not dampened by sudden cost escalations. It also helps Triumph and KTM maintain a strong competitive edge against rivals like Royal Enfield, whose latest 450cc offerings are now more expensive in comparison. Also, in a later development, Triumph has offered free accessories worth Rs 13,300 on the purchase of a new Triumph Scrambler 400 X.

In contrast, the 390cc range from KTM and Triumph’s 400cc line-up remain within grasp of a wider set of buyers, and Bajaj’s move safeguards this appeal.

- Ready to Adventure.I also have a Duke, Adv has covered all the issues which I have faced on Duke when I use to go on long rides, Ride is also plush coupled with a great engine which proves itself on all grounds. Also it has a decent fuel efficiency considering its engine performance.
