Overview
The KTM 390 Adventure X is the road-biased sibling of the more expensive and offroad-oriented 390 Adventure. It is aimed at riders who want some off-road capability with loads of tech and great touring ability at a slightly more affordable price point.
KTM 390 Adventure X Price
The KTM 390 Adventure X is priced at Rs 3,43,250 (ex-showroom, Delhi), this is after the bike got a price hike on April 8, 2026.
KTM 390 Adventure X Colours
The KTM 390 Adventure X is available in two colour schemes: Electronic Orange and White. While the latter is a more subtle colour scheme, it is the Orange one which really stands out and will garner the most attention on the road.
KTM 390 Adventure X Variants
The KTM 390 Adventure X is available in a single variant.

KTM 390 Adventure X Design
The 390 Adventure X carries forward KTM's signature aggressive and rally-inspired styling, with sharp bodywork, high ground clearance, and a tall, upright stance. It looks purposeful and rugged, clearly designed for tackling both the daily grind and off-road trails. A tall windscreen, dual-LED projector headlights and large tank shrouds add to its ADV character at the front, while the slim tail section with its small LED tail light gives it a sleek look. It gets a wide handlebar with knuckle guards, along with a long single-piece seat, which gives it a proper ADV stance.

KTM 390 Adventure X Engine
Powering the bike is KTM’s tried-and-tested 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, the same one found in the 390 Duke. It makes 46PS and 39Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter.

KTM 390 Adventure X Features
One of the 390 Adventure X’s biggest strengths is its long list of features. It includes electronic rider aids like switchable and cornering traction control, cornering ABS, a bidirectional quickshifter, and cruise control. It also comes with three ride modes: Street, Rain, and Off-road, which change the throttle response of the bike. The bike gets a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/SMS alerts. To charge electronic devices on the go, it comes with a type-C charging port on the left hand side of the instrument console.

KTM 390 Adventure X Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The bike rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup, with tubeless dual-purpose Apollo Trampler XR tyres. Suspension is handled by a non-adjustable WP Apex fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock with 200mm of wheel travel at the front and 205mm wheel travel at the rear. While not fully adjustable like higher-end ADV bikes, this setup should be capable of handling rough roads. Braking is managed by a 320mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear with dual-channel ABS. With a seat height of 825mm, it is quite accessible for riders of short stature and kerb weight of 182kg means it should be easy to maneuver at slow speeds. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres which should translate a real world range of above 250km.

KTM 390 Adventure X Competition
The KTM 390 Adventure X’s closest rival is the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The Himalayan offers a more traditional, rugged ADV experience with a torquey engine and off-road bias, all while being more affordable. It is the KTM which should offer better outright performance thanks to its more powerful engine, agile handling characteristics due to its lighter chassis and host of electronic features.

- My First KTM - Powerful and comfortableFirst time KTM owner. Wanted a bike mainly for highway touring and city rides. X plus felt balanced and practical not extreme offroad. Test ride at KTM helped decide. Always wanted a KTM but due to my tall height was waiting for a taller bike, which I got atlast Done around 4500kms already in 4 months. Very stable on highways and easily touches 150kmph. City riding is okay but heats up in traffic but that is expected because the engine is a highly compressed 400cc single cylinder. Mileage is 19-20 in city and around 28 in highways. Yes, I would recommend it for riders who want touring comfort, strong performance and balanced offroad ability. Good balance bike if your usage is city plus highways. It can easily handle even off-roading, you will be surprised by its performance and handling.Read More4 1
