The Raider 125 makes its peak power and torque earlier than the Hero Xtreme 125R, it feels slightly more peppier to ride.
Another advantage which the Raider 125 gets is the iGo assist which delivers extra 0.73Nm of torque making it slightly quicker to the run to 60kmph. Despite the difference in engine specifications both of these bikes still manage to perform well in the city, but the Raider 125 is the one to consider for a more spirited riding.

The TVS Raider’s braking setup should ensure a much better and safer braking performance.
The Hero Xtreme 125R only gets a rear drum brake setup. However, the Xtreme 125R has a wider 120-section rear tyre which should provide better cornering grip.

The Xtreme 125R being 11kg lighter than the Raider 125.

Both of these 125cc bikes are quite loaded in terms of features, but it's the Raider 125 that comes out on top. It gets a coloured TFT console with connected features along with live match score and weather updates. The Raider 125 also gets a ‘Follow Me’ headlamp which stays on for a few seconds even after you have switched off the bike.
The Xtreme 125R misses out on most of the exciting features which the Raider 125 gets, but comes with all LED lights. However, the upcoming Hero Xtreme 125R was recently spotted at a dealer meet and is expected to get features like a coloured console, turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control and much more.

The price difference between these two commuter bikes is almost negligible, with the Raider 125 being Rs 1,099 more expensive than the Xtreme 125R. Both of these 125cc bikes are quite good for both city commutes and occasional highway runs however, its the Raider 125 which is an overall better performer. With the iGo Assist the bike offers peppy and enjoyable performance, while the light weight ensures a stress free and easy riding experience. It's also the most loaded motorcycle in terms of features, with the Xtreme 125R only having LED indicators as an extra feature over the Raider 125.
That said, the TVS might appear as the clear winner here, but a new feature loaded and updated Hero Xtreme 125R is going to be launched soon and is expected to give the Raider 125 a great run for its money, which could change the equation. I bough this TVS raider in Jan 2026. Till now, i did not face any issues with it. This costs around 1.25 Lakhs including EMI. This can be a good commuter bike in 125cc bike models. E20 facility is also added in this bike. Handling is very good in this bike. I feel so comfortable when i ride on highways. I like rear foot support to provide comfort for pillion rider while having seat. Good mileage bike under 125cc bikes. This is kind of family bike with sporty look. City riding people can prefer this mostly. This is a best mileage bike under 1.25Lakhs. i would recommend to change the colour of ABS channel(red colour) to black. Read More
