TVS Apache RTR 180: 3 New Colours We Imagined
A lot of fans have been craving the Apache RTR 180 in red, so here’s that, along with two other neat shades we’ve imagined
The TVS Apache RTR 180 is one of the oldest Apaches that’s still on sale today. It offers the iconic Apache looks but at a more accessible price point than the super modern TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. When it comes to the colours, the brand has kept things pretty simple on the colour front for a while now, just Pearl White and Gloss Black, both priced at Rs 1,26,340 (ex-showroom, Delhi). TVS actually used to offer a blue shade too, back in the day, so the palette has shrunk over time rather than grown. That got us wondering what a few fresh colours could look like on the RTR 180, so we rendered three and imagined how they'd fit in.
Racing Red
Fans love to see the TVS Apache RTR 180 in a red colour scheme. We call it the Racing Red, because we’ve taken inspiration from the gorgeous red shade that’s available on the TVS Apache RR 310. The white pinstripes have been done in a way that’s tasteful and not overly loud. All in all, the RTR 180 in red feels bold; it's got that racing edge, and it just suits the bike's aggressive stance.
Iconic Yellow
Yellow feels like the most iconic shade you could put on an Apache. It's loud, it's got a serious street presence, and it instantly makes the bike look sportier. It’s also a nod to the older Apaches in yellow. If you ask us, the Apache really made yellow colour mainstream. The black racing stripes give it a nice contrast and go really well with the blacked-out powertrain and underpinnings.
Unique Green
Green colour is something that’s not very common on motorcycles in India. However, we have seen some motorcycles pull it off quite well. Cases in point are the Yamaha FZ-S, incidentally painted in a green shade that was called ‘Battle Green’. On the Apache, we’ve tried the same shade but with a bit of a unique twist: yellow highlights on the bodywork. Looks pretty cool, don’t you think?
None of these are real options right now, but if TVS ever decided to expand the RTR 180's colour lineup again, these are the directions we'd love to see it go in.

- Blend of both style and practicalityRTR 180 and 160 2V both may not feel so comfortable at first and it require some time to get used to over long urban commutes. - Apache RTR 180It feels torn out when it goes above 75 kmph but it has good pickup and it has very good riding posture and the bike is best for highways because it does not wobble on high speed and has very good stability. It has many cons and many pros depend on the usage and different perspectives for different users and different age group.
