    The Ather Konarc electric scooter will be launched at Ather Community Day on August 29. Now, we have some new information regarding its variants, claimed range, and a few more specifications.

    As per the source, the Ather Konarc will likely have four S variants: SR1, SR2, SR3, and SR4, along with two Q variants: QR1 and QR2. The scooter will feature Ather’s new battery pack, which is reportedly called ‘Bedrock’. The Konarc could have multiple battery pack options, with 100, 125, 160, and 200 km of IDC range.

    The source further claims that the scooter will have an inbuilt 450 W charger that can be directly connected to a wall socket. It could be complemented by an additional fast charger, which will be able to charge the scooter from 0-80% in around two hours.

    The source has also claimed that the scooter will have a service interval of 1/ 10,000 km and will get a walk assist feature as an additional convenience feature.

    What We Know So Far

    In terms of underpinnings, the Konarc will get a swingarm-mounted motor similar to the one found on the Ather 450 series, but it is expected to be tuned for smoother power delivery.

    It will get a 14-inch wheel up front, a 12-inch wheel at the rear, along with a telescopic fork and a monoshock. Braking duties will be handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear.

    In terms of features, the Konarc is expected to feature a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call & SMS alerts, and AtherStack 7 operating system.

    With multiple variants, battery options, and a maximum claimed range of 200km, the Ather scooter could be a strong contender in the affordable electric scooter segment. It is expected to be priced around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival the likes of the TVS iQube, Vida VX2, and Bajaj Chetak C2501.
