An updated version of the Hero Xtreme 125R has been spotted at what looks like a dealership event. It looks a bit fresher, and comes with a few new features as well. Since Hero recently launched the Glamour X 125, we think many of its features will be carried over to this bike. Here’s everything you need to know:
The first major change we can see is the addition of a new red and black dual-tone colour scheme, which looks quite flashy. The red in the new colour scheme is more prominent than Firestorm Red scheme in the current-gen Hero Xtreme 125R. Along with the change in colours, the bike also seems to be sporting bar-end mirrors. While this increases the width of the bike, and doesn’t offer as good visibility as traditional rear-view mirrors, it looks really cool.

While the console isn’t super clear, its shape seems similar to the one on the Hero Glamour X 125, especially the lower half of the bezel. Since the new Glamour variant came with the new colour-LCD console, it’s obvious that Hero will offer the same feature in its sportier sibling, the Xtreme 125R. The new console will offer smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. This is a big jump from the current console that offers only call and SMS alerts.

The updated bike could also come with a ride-by-wire throttle, which controls the throttle electronically. This will allow the bike to have multiple riding modes, as well as a cruise control system, just like the one on the Glamour X 125. Cruise control should help in reducing rider fatigue when riding through long stretches of road, provided there’s no traffic. Other than these additions, the rest of the aspects of the bike could remain unchanged. The 2025 Hero Xtreme 125R could be powered by the same 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 11.4PS and 10.5Nm.
We expect it to be launched around Diwali 2025, which is on October 20, 2025. It could come at a premium of around Rs 7,000 over the existing top-end single-channel ABS variant, which costs Rs 94,504 (ex-showroom Delhi). The updated bike will rival the TVS Raider 125 and the recently launched Honda CB125 Hornet. If you’re wondering how many 125cc bikes Hero sells in India, this explainer will help you understand better.
