2025 TVS Apache RR 310: Same Price Other Options

An adventure tourer, a retro motorcycle and other options to consider over this sports bike

TVS recently launched the 2025 Apache RR 310 in India with an OBD-2B compliant engine and a host of new features which makes it even more feature-loaded than before. However, at a price of Rs 2,94,999 (ex-showroom Delhi), for the quickshifter variant, there are a lot of other options to consider in different categories. Let’s have a closer look at these options.

KTM 390 Duke

Price - Rs 2,95,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)

The KTM 390 Duke has always been a great naked bike and even in 2025, it is one of the most powerful bikes in the segment. It gets sharp body panels which suits the overall aggressive looks of this street naked.

The Duke 390 is not short on features as well. It gets a 5-inch TFT console which supports smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. Along with this the motorcycle also gets a bidirectional quickshifter, switchable cornering ABS, switchable traction control, launch control, wheelie control, and ride modes: Rain, Street and Track.

The 390 Duke offers the best performance, looks and features for the price, which makes it an apt choice for someone looking for the perfect sports bike in the category.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

Price - Rs 2,85,000 (ex-showroom  Delhi)

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is one of the best adventure tourers in the country. It gets a tall stance, thanks to its long-travel suspension, a big 21-inch front wheel, and a large windscreen. It uses a 452cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor which gives the bike great performance for being ridden in almost all terrain with ease.

The Himalayan gets 200mm of wheel travel at both ends along with an impressive 230mm of ground clearance. This makes the Himalayan very much capable off the road. It also gets all LED lights with a TFT display which supports smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts.

With its powerful motor, off-road centric hardware and features, the Himalayan 450 sits as a great option to consider over the RR 310, as it is going to perform great while touring, and it also comes with lots of space for your pillion and luggage.

BSA Gold Star 650

Price - Rs 2,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)

The BSA Gold Star 650 looks quite appealing with its perfect retro looks. It gets a tear drop shaped metal tank along with neatly designed body panels. With a 649cc single-cylinder engine, the motorcycle is quite fast and gets a 5-speed gearbox with well-sorted gear ratios.

The motorcycle is quite basic and does not even get LED lights. It gets an analogue speedometer and tachometer which is functional and goes well with the overall retro design of the motorcycle. It gets dual-channel ABS for safer braking.

For someone who wants a proper retro motorcycle with beautiful looks, a strong engine and no added features, the BSA would make a lot more sense over the RR 310.

Triumph Scrambler 400X

Price - Rs 2,66,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)

The Triumph Scrambler 400X does look like a proper scrambler style motorcycle. It gets a well designed metal fuel tank, a round LED headlight and tall stance which does make the motorcycle look great.

The Scrambler 400X gets a 400cc single-cylinder engine which performs quite well. The gearing is well sorted which gives it a strong initial and mid-range performance which is great for mild off-road duties. That said, it is not a proper off-roader but it gets a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear alloy wheel with block pattern tyres. It also gets a 195mm ground clearance.

The Scrambler 400X gets a proper retro modern design, a powerful motor and decent off-road capabilities. It can be a great all rounder which can be used for daily commutes, long tours and weekend rides.

Ultraviolette F77 Superstreet

Price - Rs 2,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi)

The Ultraviolette F77 Superstreet is a modern looking performance e-bike which uses a futuristic design language. It gets a low set handlebar and rear set footpegs which makes the motorcycle fairly uncomfortable to ride.

That said, in terms of performance the F77 Superstreet is quite good. It is capable of getting from 0 to 100 kmph in a claimed 7.8 seconds and gets a top speed of 155kmph (claimed). Its 7.1kWh battery pack gives it a claimed range of 211km IDC (Indian driving conditions). It gets a 5-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and SMS/call alerts. Other than this the motorcycle also gets all LED lights, switchable ABS, switchable traction control, hill hold assist, stability control, ride modes and more.

Being a performance e-bike, the F77 Superstreet can be a perfect for someone who wants a much more modern bike than the competition along with exciting looks and performance.

User Reviews

This is better option for BIG GUYS.

I chose this because i love going to mountains and travelling through dirt trails and since i wanted to travel across Himalayas the first option that came my mind was Himalayan 450 because my cousin had Himalayan 411 back then and he loved the experience so i thought same beast with extra power would be a great choice. Honestly everything is good and perfect as i had imagined, The comfort is good the abs is great suspension, perfect and the 17L fuel tank is absolutely perfect, I never feel the necessity to carry extra fuel with me. Yes, i would really recommend this bike to someone who is interested in travelling or doing long rides like ladakh, Warwan you can go to any offroad batch or destination in this bike and also this bike performs well on highway too. Old school character & thumpy

I was looking for a big bike that is easy to handle & has some character. BSA Gold Star has a classic & thumpy character that makes you feel like an old school charm. I'm primarily using it for city & highway rides. I have ridden it around 6000 kms that include both city & highway rides. The bike has great rear suspension & okayish front suspension (could've been improved). I prefer to setup the pre load to 4 (against the default 2) for better quality ride. Yes, Definitely go for it if you're looking for a thumpy performance & old school characterful bike. Suites best for city & highway commutes. It's a proper roadster with good mileage & lower end torque. Read More
