    Q.

Jawa Perak or RE Classic 350, which is better?

    • Bikedekho experts
    • on 18 Apr 2021

Selecting between the Jawa Perak and Royal Enfield Classic 350 would depend on certain factors such as your budget, preference of the segment, brand preference, performance, comfort, etc. The Perak is powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill that produces 30.64PS and 32.74Nm of torque (1.74Nm more than before), mated to a 6-speed transmission with optimized gear ratios. On the other hand, the Classic 350 draws its power from a 346cc single-cylinder air-cooled UCE thumper that puts out 19.3PS and 28Nm mated to a 5-speed gearbox. As an overall package, the BS6-compliant Royal Enfield Classic 350 feels more like a stop-gap measure until the next-generation Classic arrives. Other than the cleaner motor. there are no tangible features to justify the extra premium. If you are planning to buy one right now, we’d suggest you wait for the next-generation Classic as it is expected to be better in terms of highway capability and refinement. Whereas, the Perak would be a great pick if you’re out to make a statement. However, if you get one of these, you would most likely have to forget about your better half since it only features a single seat. The motor is easier to use, be it slow city speeds or cruising at triple-digit speeds on the highway; however, if you’re on the taller side, the odd riding posture can get a bit uncomfortable. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
