Yamaha R3 and MT-03 To Be Launched Today
Both motorcycles will be arriving in India via the CBU route
After months and months of eager anticipation, the Yamaha R3 and the MT-03 will FINALLY be launched in India.
The major part of their huge appeal is the sweet 321cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 42PS and 29Nm. It is tractable in the lower end of the rev range, making the bikes comfortable to ride in the city. But when you open the taps, it revs till 13,000rpm, which means both the bikes will be perfect for your fast weekend rides as well! Both bikes get an inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup, and disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The features list on both is not at all extensive. They get an LCD screen with no smartphone connectivity. And other features like traction control, a slipper clutch, and a quickshifter – which are quite common in this segment nowadays – are also missing.
Both, the Yamaha R3 and the MT-03, will be arriving in India via the CBU (Completely Built-up) route. As a result, we expect the R3 to get a price tag of Rs 3.50 lakh, and the MT-03 to be priced around the Rs 4 lakh (both prices ex-showroom) mark. The R3’s rivals will be the TVS Apache RR 310, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM RC 390, while the MT-03’s rivals will be the TVS Apache RTR 310, BMW G 310 R, KTM 390 Duke and QJ Motor SRK400.

It is a great bike. The pickup and power delivery is amazing. I love this bike. Yamaha have done a great job Yamaha. The top speed goes beyond 160 for me being a big guy. But the exhaust notes on this with an after-market exhaust is 💕. I love this bike. The price is worth the thrill this gives. I give it a 10/10. Read More
