This week witnessed a tonne of unveilings and a few launches

Thanks to Auto Expo 2020, this week has been quite eventful. However, the two-wheeler segment wasn’t as hot as the previous expo as many mainstream manufacturers did not participate this time. However, several electric manufacturers unveiled interesting products at the expo. Plus, there were a couple of launches ahead of the expo too!

Yamaha MT-15 BS6 launched:

After its unveiling in December last year, Yamaha launched the MT-15 BS6 just a day before Auto Expo 2020. It comes with a minor drop in output figures and gains a few not-so-significant features. But on the flip side, it commands one of the lowest premiums for a BS6 two-wheeler compared to its BS4 counterpart.

155cc Suzuki Gixxer BS6 twins unveiled:

Suzuki was one of the two major two-wheeler manufacturers at this year’s auto expo. We were hoping the brand would showcase an interesting lineup, or at least a new product, but it failed to enthral the audience. Even the BS6-compliant 155cc Gixxer twins were just unveils. While the motorcycle looks identical to the BS4 version, there are a couple of changes to the mechanicals.

Hero Electric AE-47 e-bike unveiled:

Hero Electric unveiled its first electric motorcycle, the AE-47. The design of the motorcycle is oddly reminiscent of the Honda CB300R. The Ae-47 electric bike comes with a decent set of features like fully digital instrument cluster, all-LED lighting system, inverted front fork, and disc brake on both ends. If you’re wondering when it will be launched, head here.

Aprilia SXR160 unveiled:

Aprilia brightened up an otherwise dull auto expo with the unveiling of its maxi-style scooter, the SXR160. Designed specifically for our market, it shares its genes with the sporty SR160 BS6. Plus, it’s loaded with interesting features! Check this out for all the juicy details regarding the booking, delivery and launch timeline.

Bajaj Pulsar NS200 BS6 price revealed:

The BS6-compliant iteration of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has started reaching select dealerships. While the bike looks more or less the same externally, there has been one major addition to the powertrain. Consequently, it comes at a considerable premium too!
