Gets fuel-injection, ECU, and an updated cat-con

    • Apart from minor mechanical updates, the bike looks identical to the previous-gen Bajaj.
    • Updates reel in an Rs 11,000 price hike.
    • The BS4 Pulsar NS200 is priced at Rs 1,13,331 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

The BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has started arriving at select dealerships across India. To comply with the stringent emission norms, the bike now features fuel-injection as standard, an ECU, and an updated cat-con. The changes have amounted to a steep price hike of Rs 11,000, bringing the cost of the NS200 to Rs 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Interested customers can unofficially book the streetfighter for a token amount ranging between Rs 1,000 and Rs 5,000. It’s expected to be launched by Feb-end.

While most two-wheeler manufacturers are offering more in terms of features with the BS6 update, Bajaj has stuck to basics. As a result, the BS6 NS200 looks exactly like the BS4 iteration. There are no new paint schemes on offer either, at least for now.

Bajaj hasn’t released any specs, so there aren’t any numbers to swear by. However, if we consider the fuel-injected Pulsar NS200 sold in Colombia, it makes 24.46PS of power and 18.6Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed transmission. Expect the India-spec model to make slightly less power. The BS4 NS200 makes 23.5PS and 18.3Nm.

The BS6 NS200’s hardware hasn’t been altered either. It uses the same telescopic fork and monoshock for its suspension duties. A pair of disc brakes at the front and back help anchor the bike.

A price premium of Rs 11,000 is a lot considering the updates, but that’s just something we’ll have to live with. The TVS Apache RTR 200 BS6, on the other hand, costs the same and offers a lot more value for money.

      the best ever
The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is one of India’s most popular 200 cc streetfighter motorcycles, known for its powerful engine and sporty character. It’s powered by a 199.5 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve DTS-i engine that makes around 24.1–24.5 PS of power and ~18.7 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 6-speed gearbox that delivers strong acceleration and a top speed near 140 km/h, making it fun for both city rides and highway cruising.

      The underrated gem
The first gen 200ns was the bike I fell in love with back then, so I always wanted one and hence got the current version of the bike. Apart from that the character of the engine and mainly the muscular timeless design and the sound...! The ride until now has been pretty pretty good, Yes there are some nacks here n there in terms of the build quality, fit n finish and some minor vibration aroun fron visor and rear seat, But the bike feels soo much emgaging to ride, everytime I'm on the bike it wants me to rev the engine all the way, and I find myself smiling inside my helmet. the major chunk of power comes above 6k rpm and that's where all the fun starts. All though the engine is much much more refined than the original 200ns but still you can feel that aggresive character in it. I feel the braking could have been better specially the organic brake pads, I think bybre was much better. And the abs kicks in a bit sooner than needed. In terms of handling this bike is such a gem, with the new usd forks its better than ever, the bike feels so like yet so stable on highways and once you get it into corners, then you can actually unleash the full potential of this machine, the chassis and dynamics are so good, the bike just flows into corners, I think bajaj can do better job for tyres as well, the bike demands 110 and 140 sections. But Bajaj being Bajaj, they had to do cost cutting so. Overal I'd say an amazing experience so far not a single moment of regret. All I have is satisfaction and the urge to get on my bike again and go out for a spin...! Okay so if you're someone who is very much into techy features and all those stuff then you should stay away, there are many other competitors who are much better. But i think that's not the purpose of this bike. This machine is for someone who just wants to have fun every time they get on the bike, someone who want to feel that rush and adrenaline surge into your veins everytime you ride the bike, someone who wants to lean how to ride fast the right way, someone who cares more about the engaging riding feel and experience rather than spec sheets filled with all the tech gizmos... You should definitely go and have a proper ride on this bike to fell all that beforehand atleast once..!

      NH 200 best bike
I choose the Bajaj pulsar ns200 for its combination of strong performance aggressive styling and excellent value for money within the 200cc segment. It is a popular choice for riders looking for a good performance machine in a budget. The Bajaj pulsar ns200 generally offers a fun and capable ride praised for its engine performance sporty handling and comfortable ergonomics for city and some longer rides. However some riders note that the engine can feel coarse with vibrations at higher RPM and the pillion seat is considered uncomfortable for long trips. The pulsar ns200 is worth considering if you prioritise strong performance and sharp handling at an affordable price making it a good option for city and occasional highway riding. However it may not be the best choice if you want modern features as it lacks some advance feature and has some drawbacks such as poor rear brake feel uncomfortable pillion seat and dated styling.
