It is likely to be an electric NTorq inspired by the Creon e-scooter concept

TVS has released a teaser announcing the introduction of a new electric scooter on August 23, 2023. The teaser suggests that the scooter will have a sporty design, leading us to speculate that it could be an electric version of the NTorq, inspired by TVS' previous showcase, the Creon e-scooter concept.

It is possible that the new scooter might be called the eNTorq, as TVS had filed a trademark for the name "ENTORQ" back in 2017. This provides TVS with a potential ready-made name for a sporty electric scooter.

Although the Creon was unveiled by TVS at the Auto Expo in 2018, no production version of the e-scooter has been developed to date. The Creon exhibited a distinctively sporty and unconventional design language, featuring a twin-spar beam frame for enhanced weight distribution and improved riding dynamics. Equipped with a 16PS motor, the e-scooter was capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.1 seconds, surpassing the performance of most 150cc motorcycles.

The NTorq has been a prominent model in TVS' lineup of sporty scooters and has significantly influenced the development of the sporty scooter segment in India since its launch. Consequently, we anticipate that the upcoming TVS e-scooter will combine the sporty characteristics of the NTorq with the design elements and electric technology from the Creon.

The teaser provides further support for this notion, as the four vertically stacked squares in the image resemble the vertical LED headlight on the Creon concept.

As previously mentioned, the unveiling of the new e-scooter is scheduled for August 23, 2023. The teaser also confirms the location being Dubai, with the possibility of the Burj Khalifa being the exact venue, as the lights in the teaser bear a resemblance to the iconic silhouette of the famous building.
