This Week’s Two-Wheeler News Wrap-up: TVS Adv Spotted, 2025 KTM 390 Adventure Bookings Start, Hero Discontinues Bikes, Bajaj Freedom Prices Slashed, And More
A summary of everything that happened in the world of two-wheelers this past week
The last month of 2024 has been pretty busy with a lot of unveils, launches, spy shots, teases and announcements happening. Here’s a list of the main highlights and news from this week, just in case you missed it:
Bajaj Freedom 125 Prices Slashed
The base variant of the Bajaj Freedom 125 received a price cut of Rs 5,000, and the mid-spec drum LED version received a Rs 10,000 discount. This brings the effective starting price of the bike to Rs 89,997 for the base model and Rs 95,002 for the drum LED variant. The range topping version however remains priced the same at Rs 1,10,000 (ex-showroom).
TVS Apache RTX 300 Spotted
TVS' upcoming 300cc adventure bike was spotted undergoing testing for the first time, bringing it closer to its official launch. According to a trademark filed by TVS in June 2023, the upcoming Adv bike will most likely be named the Apache RTX 300.
TVS iQube Midnight Carnival Offer
TVS announced a ‘Midnight Carnival’ for the iQube electric scooter on the account of selling more than 4,50,000 units of the electric scooter. The offer is available from 12 Am, 12th of December till 11:59 Pm, 22nd December. Customers will also get additional benefits on the purchase of the iQube.
2025 Yamaha R3 & MT-03 India Launch
Yamaha recently unveiled the 2025 versions of the R3 and the MT-03 globally. The 2025 models are expected to arrive in India by mid 2025. We expect these updated models to command at a slight premium over the outgoing models.
2025 KTM 390 Adventure S & Enduro R Bookings Start
KTM officially opened bookings for the new-gen 390 Adventure and 390 Enduro R, which recently made their debut at the India Bike Week (IBW) in Goa. These models were first unveiled globally at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. The pre-booking amount is set at Rs 1,999.
New Hero Destini 125 Launch
Hero is set to launch the next-gen Destini 125 in India, in December 2024 as per sources. The scooter was first unveiled in September 2024. Hero released all the information of the scooter but did not announce the prices or the launch date back then.
Hero Discontinues 3 Bikes
In other Hero news, they silently discontinued three models from their lineup, and also removed them from their official website. The bikes are: the Hero Xpulse 200T 4V, the Xtreme 200S 4V and the Passion Xtec.
Bajaj Chetak Smoke Incident
On 5 December 2024, an incident involving a Bajaj Chetak occurred in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad). Smoke was seen coming out of it. Bajaj Auto clarified that there was no fire or thermal runaway, and the scooter’s battery and motor remained unaffected. Investigations are still going on.
2025 TVS Ronin DS Revealed
TVS makes a comeback on this list again. They showcased the updated 2025 Ronin DS variant at the Motosoul 2024 motorcycle event in Goa. The mid-variant of Ronin now comes with 2 new colour options and dual-channel ABS as standard.

I’ve been using this bike for the last 3 years, and overall, I’m very happy with it. It’s a great choice for both city rides and off-roading. The mileage and maintenance costs are good, and the suspension is excellent for potholes and rough Indian roads. The main drawbacks are engine heating during hilly rides and some fatigue on rides over 200 km in a day. Overall, a comfortable, reliable, and capable off-road bike. Because mileage, looks cool and performance is better in same price if we compare with others, trust by our old brand with bajaj. Looks really cool and in 3kw battery range is very good. Overall in below 1.5 lakh price it's very effective. I have not ride in highway but I used in city for a couple of months, it is really cool to handle and service is very easy to maintain, it is very smooth ride as much I did. And performance is also very good. I would recommend to purchase not for young people, all type of age can use this scooter in ev segment. TVS Ronin is good bike in this price, it has better proformance then royal Enfield hunter 350, and good comfort than other bike, this bike is good for long rides the seat of bike is very much comfortable and looks are killer in this segment, this bike offers very advance features like riding mode which does not get in other bike, its meter has very usefull and advence feature, this bike with low seat height are comfortable for short rider, it has all led light which is good, but one thing is drawback its mileage in highway, it give good mileage but in city traffic mileage is low, this bike comes with oil cooled which makes it best performance bike.Read More

Very good cng bike. This is very cost effective bike, best comfort and stylish bike, The seat is very big, you can use with cng or with petrol as per your requirement.
