TVS' upcoming 300cc adventure bike has been spotted undergoing testing for the first time, bringing it closer to its official production launch. While the company has remained tight-lipped about the bike for some time, spy shots of this highly anticipated model have surfaced online for the first time.
Name

In one of our earlier stories, we had stated that this upcoming TVS Adv bike will most likely be named the Apache RTX 300. TVS Motor had applied for a trademark for the name ‘Apache RTX’ all the way back in June 2023. The Hosur-based manufacturer uses the RTR prefix for its naked bikes, while the supersport series carries the RR tag . Therefore, it is highly likely that this model could use the RTX name.
Design

In terms of design, the bike features an adventure oriented aesthetic, with muscular body panels and tall stance that give it a big road presence. The front features a dual-pod headlight similar to TVS’ other 300cc bikes, the Apache RR 310 and the RTR 310. The tail-light also looks similar to the BMW G 310 GS.
Engine Details

It will likely be powered by the new RT-XD4 engine, which was unveiled at TVS MotoSoul 2024. The single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, 299.1cc engine makes 35PS and 28.5Nm. The engine will likely be paired with a six-speed gearbox and offer a slip-and-assist clutch. While specifications are more or less similar to the current 310 engine, the new motor promises to offer a flatter torque delivery, which will be helpful in an ADV.
Other Details

The hardware includes alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres by the looks of things. The TVS Adv bike seems to have a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel setup. As for suspension, it features an upside-down (USD) front fork and a monoshock. Given that the RR 310 and RTR 310 already offer adjustable suspension, it is likely that the upcoming ADV will follow suit.
Features

The TVS Apache RTX 300 will get tech features including LED lighting and a fully digital instrument console, the latter of which could be borrowed from the Apache RTR 310. TVS is known for equipping its motorcycles with a host of electronics. It could be no different here with probable additions such as traction control, cruise control, riding modes, and more.
Launch & Rivals

As shown in these test images, the bike is still undergoing testing, and an official launch is expected around the middle of next year in 2025. Once released, the TVS Apache RTX 300 will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the soon to launch 2025 KTM 390 Adventure S, the Yezdi Adventure, the Suzuki V-Storm 250 SX, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, the BMW G 310 GS and also the upcoming Hero Xpulse 400.
TVS Apache RTX 300 User Reviews
- One of the best above 300 cc bike you can have. For my inter state rides as I currently live in Ranchi but my home city is Chaibasa so I have to travel between these city a lot and this bike feels best when I ride for a longer distance. The major reason was the height of the bike, as I am 6.1 ft 24M, it is the best height bike for me. As I can feel that this bike is not for daily commuters as it is quite big for the Indian roads but the whole seen changes when you ride it on highways. I feel confident while riding this, one of my cousin have RE Himalayan and when compared to it, this bike feel more agile and is more practical. I would recommend this bike to only those who wants to have a best all rounder bike as it has best in the market technical specs, (even I have not fully explored all the modes of the bike thus far), it feels confident to ride on in many situations. And to top it all off, it has best engine as both BMW and TVS came together in this.Read More2 2
- super adventure bike in this price and look are very very attractiveI used BMW 310 gs before buy this bike but it beats the BMW 310 gs because of its features are fantastic. Relay involve this features, firstly, Its display and quick shifter. Most important is city ride, very comfortable no heating issues in city ride. The riding modes are fantastic. So this was the first time I rode a bike which had riding modes. Before this I thought features but work fantastically. The suspension is alright for the roads but it's not as comfortable as I thought. It's little stiff for an adventure bike. I didn't take it on proper off road but got the idea on city bumps. Bike is so manageable even for short riders. I'm just 5'8 and I was sceptical about whether to ride it or not and I was so surprised how well balanced this bike is. I can't even flat foot on my CB350RS and this one's has even taller seat yet I could manage it like any other bike. Weight distribution is good. Engine heating, It's freezing cold here in Delhi and yet I found it heating even riding on lower rpms.Read More3

- Apache RTX, a powerful and affordable machineAffordable pricing for an adventure bike. After reading your reviews I was interested in this bike so this was a great choice for me. Since Himalayan 450 price was increased after the recent tax hike, this was the perfect price point for me to get my first ADV Bike. Great Handling, easily manageable in rush hour traffic, great seating height as I am on the taller side. I have gone on multiple above 50 km rides on this bike and faced no issues so far. The riding modes are a big plus point in this bike. Yes I would definitely recommend this bike. Even if you are a experienced rider or a nice looking to get into the world of bike riding, the apache rtx 300 is a wonderful piece of machinery that has something for people of all experience levels.Read More4 8
