KTM is gearing up to launch the 390 Enduro R in India - a street-legal dual-sport motorcycle that promises superior off-road capability. After its global debut at EICMA 2024 and an appearance at India Bike Week (IBW) 2024, KTM has officially revealed the complete specifications for the Indian version of the bike ahead of its launch in the coming few days.

Engine
The KTM 390 Enduro R is powered by a 398.6cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The motor is shared with the 390 Duke, 390 Adventure and Adventure X.
Underpinings
The Enduro R weighs 177kg kerb, and comes with a 43mm inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup. The fork offers 30-step adjustability for compression and rebound, while the monoshock is adjustable for 20-step rebound and 10-step preload. It gets 200mm of front and 205mm of rear wheel travel (same as the 390 Adventure), 253mm ground clearance, 860mm seat height (Global-spec has 272mm and 890mm, respectively). The front wheel is a 21-inch, and the rear is an 18-inch - both spoked. Notably, it gets tubed tyres instead of tubeless like on the 390 Adventure. It has a 285mm front and a 240mm rear disc brake, with dual-channel ABS. The fuel tank capacity is 9-litres, much smaller as compared to the 14.5-litre tank on the 390 Adventure. While this reduces weight, it also means riders will need to refuel more frequently.

Features
The Enduro features switchable ABS and traction control. Riders can completely switch off ABS via the dedicated switch - and when in off-road mode, it allows better traction and control over loose surfaces. It comes equipped with a 4.2-inch full colour TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, call alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and music control via the KTM app. It also comes with adjustable foot-pegs, brake and clutch levers. Additionally, it also has two riding modes: Street and Off-road. The riding modes adjust the bike's performance characteristics to suit different conditions.
Pricing and Rivals
KTM is expected to price the 390 Enduro around Rs 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom). While it does not have a direct rival, the Kawasaki KLX230 can be considered as a same price alternative - although it is much less powerful.

BikeDekho Says
With its off-road ability, advanced features, and expected competitive pricing - the 390 Enduro R is set to be a highly capable dual-sport motorcycle for riders looking to push their limits off the road. Its relatively low weight, powerful engine, and off-road focused setup make it an exciting addition to the Indian market, appealing to off-road enthusiasts and adventure riders.

Best in segmentI am doing long ride on week end also for lite affordable i see many other options like Himalayan 450 but bit heavy for me so I choose ktm adventure because it's light weight easy to ride on highway also good feature of electrical side. On highway I am getting mileage of 30 to 37 kmpl depends on engine rpm this bike effortlessly crush on 120kmph to 140kmph with any engine stress also riding poser is good comfortable in city it's easy to manoeuvre in traffic. Here is my reason to choose ktm light weight good mileage best electric feature like riding mode cornering abs best tft counsel also you get accessories port bottom, also engine power is best in class no match for ktm.Read More
Ready to Adventure.I also have a Duke, Adv has covered all the issues which I have faced on Duke when I use to go on long rides, Ride is also plush coupled with a great engine which proves itself on all grounds. Also it has a decent fuel efficiency considering its engine performance. Bike's comfortable its mileage is also good I get a decent range, but the engine won't feel as raw as BS4 duke, great electronics and safety. Just having engine oil consumption on higher side. Also the Trampler tyres give more life than Turanzas which came initially. Long hauling person should definitely buy this bike, long rides are so hassle free. And comfortable, also if you have to carry any luggage they have provided good anchoring points. Tieing a back pack or a duffle bag is easy.Read More
Enduro R reviewsurprisingly capable on the road, especially on twisty tarmac often surprising sportbike riders. It can maintain highway speeds well but its dirt-bike roots mean long highway rides can be less comfortable due to wind firm seats and some engine vibrations More approachable, manageable, and easier to handle for less-experienced off-road riders. Excellent chassis/suspension.but can feel heavy and bottom out on the shock in very rough.aggressive terrain compared to dirt bike I want to say anything best mileage best performance what you need apart from that best bike i ever ride the aggressive bike especially on twisty tarmac often surprising sportbike ridervibrations engienRead More
