Honda Showcases 5 global performance models at 2014 Auto Expo

The Japanese auto major, Honda Motorcycles has showcased its 5 global performance products at the Indian Auto Expo 2014, today. The range includes different segments including MotoGP machine RC213V, the King of Motorcycles- Goldwing Tourer, Mid size track machines CBR500R and CBR650F, and a premium scooter PCX 125. This is the first debut of these machines in India.

 

 

Honda RC213 is the MotoGP track machine with cutting edge technology. Bolted on a light weight Aluminum Twin-tube frame, the bike uses a 1000cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, V-four. It uses ÖHLINS suspension system including telescopic forks at the front and Pro-link suspension at the rear. It is the same machine that Marc Marquez was riding to become the youngest rider of all-time to win four successive races in the premier class and become the World’s youngest Moto GP champion. Honda, once again, won the “Triple Crown Championship” at the 2013 Moto GP with this mean machine.

 

 

Honda Goldwing, the King of Motorcycles, is a full size touring machine on two wheels. It has got all the features, generally comes with a four-wheeler touring vehicle, which makes it The world’s first bike with features you can’t even think of to be available in a two-wheeler. The motorcycle predicts “Adventure doesn’t wait for time off or need a 3 day weekend." Honda sets gold standard for adventure with the motorcycle that’s defined touring comfort, convenience and innovation since 36 years - ‘The King of Motorcycles’, Goldwing. A motorcycle which depicts ‘Sophistication on wheels’ with features like an Air bag system(world’s 1st since 2006), 5 speed gearbox with Overdrive, Electric reverse and shaft drive, Inbuilt Surround Sound(SRS) Music System with cockpit control, Navigation with GPS lane guiding system, Real Time Weather and Traffic conditions, Real Time Trip Planner with Web Share, Seat and Grip Heating, Foot Warmers. Don’t the specifications give an impression to be of a four-wheeler? 

 

 

Honda CBR500R is an excellent entry level sports bike, which appeals to riders looking for a great value alternative to larger sports bikes. This middleweight performance bike is inspired by the legendary track machine CBR1000RR (Fireblade).  It provides an excellent first big sports bike experience with it’s sporty sleek design and a 471cc, liquid-cooled, PGM-FI, parallel-twin with DOHC and four valves per cylinder configuration. A middleweight machine, blessed with lightweight agility and an engaging power delivery, makes it enjoyable to ride in all scenario. Designed to identify and develop young racing talent from around the world and participated in European rounds of the 2013 FIM World Superbike Championship.

 

 

Honda CBR650F is a totally new middleweight featuring sleek, sporty style and a completely new four-cylinder engine tuned for high torque and all-round excitement with a maximum power output of 64kW, plus well-balanced, high-quality chassis and standard-fit ABS. A 650cc middle sports model which can be enjoyed for a wide range of uses including touring and sports riding. The low center of gravity, slim feel and high-set clip-on handlebars give excellent control and confidence.

 

 

Last but not the least, Honda PCX 125 was top selling Powered two-wheeler in Europe in 2011. Europe’s much loved contemporary styled scooter, packed with smart navigation, theft proof system, smart engine, idling stop and much more in automatic scooter segment. Its combination of crisp and contemporary ‘big scooter’ styling and nimble, reassuring chassis, plus a whole lot of features and convenient design touches, making it a joy to travel on a day-to-day basis.
