Hero Passion Xtec: Five Key Highlights
Here’s the top five things you need to know about the new Hero Passion Xtec

Hero has been making its commuter line up much smarter, and the iconic Passion is the latest entrant into this list. Five weeks after Hero launched the Splendor Plus Xtec, the company followed suit by launching the Xtec variant of the Passion, loading it with several new features. Here are five things you need to know about the smartest version of the 21-year old commuter bike.
1) Features

The Xtec variant of every Hero offering boasts of several smart updates, and the Passion Xtec is no exception. This bike gets an all-digital display with Bluetooth connectivity that provides incoming and missed call alerts, message alerts, service reminder, real time mileage indicator, side stand alert and low fuel indicator. The display also shows an incoming caller’s name, along with phone battery percentage. It also features an integrated USB charging port.
2) Design

While the Passion Xtec retains the same commuter-friendly design as the standard model, it showcases small subtle updates that give it a distinctive personality. It gets a segment-first projector LED headlight with a unique H-shaped integrated LED DRL. More new bits include chromed 3D branding on the tank and rim tapes, adding a premium touch to the commuter.
3) Engine

This new iteration retains the same 110cc single cylinder engine producing 9.12PS and 9.79Nm, mated to a four-speed gearbox. It also keeps the i3S (Idle Stop Start) system to aid fuel efficiency. However, the Passion Xtec gets a side stand engine cutoff to enhance safety.
4) Underpinnings

The Passion Xtec is available in two trims. The disc brake variant gets a 240mm front disc brake coupled with a 130mm rear drum brake, while the drum variant is equipped with 130mm drum brakes at both ends. To enhance safety, both variants get CBS (combined braking system). The bike carries the same telescopic and twin-shock suspension as the standard model.
5) Price

The drum brake variant of the Passion Xtec is priced at Rs 74,590, while the disc brake variant is priced at Rs 78,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it Rs 3,770 and Rs 5,170 more expensive than the self-start drum and disc variants respectively. It rivals the Bajaj Platina 110, Honda Livo and TVS Star City Plus.
While this variant is well equipped, it definitely is priced at the higher end of its competition. Is this Xtec variant a bang for your buck? Stay tuned to this space, as we will bring you the answer once we get our hands on this bike.

Best choice to buyMy father gave me this bike I am using from last 5 years, fuel efficiency is very good as per experience, as a middle-class my Father purchase this for him, and they pass this to me and the performance was same as brand new. I am going office and in field from this daily approx 50-70 km , comfortable and big seat in its segment that also comfortable for 2nd person who setting behind me in budget. This is perfect choice for performance and fuel efficiency. As per my review bajaj suits me in 5 year. Daily up down I am not in trouble by its performance or any problem, in 5 year me and my father not changed single part of engine. My father previous bike engine work in 40000 km and this bike me and my father drove this to 70000 and all parts are original. So as per my opinion or as per our roads bajaj platina is good choice.Read More
Hello iam Aabid Hassan from BaramullaI chose the bike because it was pocket friendly for me and full filled the criteria that i was looking for further the service stations were easily accessible for me. For the road conditions that i usually ride on its lightweight and smooth handling provided me a comfort which was better then other bikes of the segment. The ride was very good and comforting. I have been to a long ride around 200 kilometres away from my home to Sonmarg where for a long time the road was smooth but after I crossed Srinagar the road became bumpy but thanks to my bike the back pain came no where near which I had earlier experienced on my hero honda cbz. Yes absolutely. This bike is very good easily manageable in tragic which I usually ride in and if the road gets a bit off road it can carry you to your destination easily and safely. It's shockers are very good especially on the roads which are under construction.Read More
