Finally after a long wait Honda has unveiled some interesting motorcycles for the Indian market

    Honda Bikes Unveiled

Honda has the Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 in India, which are low-slung cruisers with bobber-inspired styling, along with the XR 300L and XR 300 Rally, which are dual-purpose motorcycles designed for off-road adventures. The biggest highlight is that all four motorcycles will be manufactured in India. While Honda has unveiled these motorcycles, the brand is yet to announce their launch timelines and detailed specifications.

    Honda Rebel 300

    Honda Bikes Unveiled

The Honda Rebel 300 will be the brand’s entry-level cruiser motorcycle in India. It gets a low-slung stance, bobber-inspired styling and relaxed ergonomics, making it look like a proper modern cruiser. The motorcycle features a compact design with a low seat height and a laid-back riding position. Powering the Rebel 300 is a 286cc, liquid-cooled engine. However, Honda has not yet revealed the key performance figures of the motorcycle.

The biggest highlight of the Rebel 300 is its technology package. It will come equipped with Honda’s E-Clutch technology (optional). This should make the motorcycle easier to ride in traffic while also allowing riders to enjoy manual gear shifts when required. It is expected to be launched in India in December 2026, at around Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Rebel 500 follows the same low-slung cruiser formula but gets a larger and more substantial stance. It features a muscular fuel tank, a compact rear section, a low seat and a relaxed riding position. The overall design has a modern bobber-inspired look, with a minimalist body and a chunky appearance.

The motorcycle also gets features such as LED lighting and a digital instrument console, along with a modern equipment package. Powering the Rebel 500 is a 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. Like the Rebel 300, the larger cruiser will also get Honda’s E-Clutch technology as an option. Earlier the Honda Rebel 500 was priced at Rs 5.71 lakh (ex-showroom), which made it quite expensive. However now with localisation, it is expected to be launched at a much more affordable price.

    Honda XR 300L

The Honda XR 300L is a lightweight dual-purpose motorcycle designed to handle both road and off-road riding. It gets a simple and functional design, along with a lightweight build aimed at improving its off-road ability.

The motorcycle is powered by a 293.5cc air-oil-cooled engine. It also gets long-travel suspension at both ends, along with what is expected to be a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel setup wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. Once launched, the Honda XR 300L will compete with motorcycles such as the Kawasaki KLX230 and the Hero Xpulse 210. It could be launched in India by December 2026, while the pricing is expected to be around Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom).

    Honda XR 300 Rally

The Honda XR 300 Rally is a more adventure-focused version of the XR platform. It gets a lightweight design but features styling and equipment inspired by larger rally-style adventure motorcycles.

The motorcycle gets long-travel suspension at both ends and dual-purpose tyres. It also features a tall windscreen, a front beak, knuckle guards and a high-mounted exhaust, giving it a proper rally-inspired appearance. Honda has not yet revealed the key specifications of the XR 300 Rally. However, in India it is expected to share its mechanical package with the XR 300L, including a similar 293.5cc engine. It is also expected to be launched in India by December 2026, while the pricing could be around Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom).

Along with these four bikes, Honda has also unveiled the all-new CB500 retro roadster in India. There is also the upcoming Honda ADV 160, which is going to be India's first E-85 compliant scooter once launched.
