EXCLUSIVE: 350cc Triumph Speed 400 Spotted On Road Before Launch
Expect the prices to drop by around Rs 30,000 compared to the current 400cc bikes

Quick News Highlights:
-
It will still be called the Speed 400
-
Engine will have a shorter stoke to be sub-350cc
-
Looks identical to the current bike
The upcoming 350cc 2026 Triumph Speed 400 has now been spotted testing on Indian roads ahead of its April 6 launch. While official details are still under wraps, the timing of spotting the test mule strongly hints that it's the new sub-350cc version.

No Design Changes, Same 400 Badge
This Triumph bike looks identical to the current model, with no visible design updates. It continues with the same styling, and unchanged “Speed 400” badge on the side panels. This could have likely been done to save additional costs.
Engine Downsized With Minimal Changes
The engine will have a shorter stroke and be about 350cc. Core components such as the head and piston are expected to remain the same, while the connecting rod and crankshaft will be revised. This makes the update cost-effective without a full engine redesign. Despite the smaller engine, performance is expected to remain close to the current model.

There could be a slight drop in low-end torque which may affect initial acceleration. The power and torque figures could drop by around 2PS and 2Nm, similar to what has happened with the 350cc Bajaj bikes.
BikeDekho Says
Triumph decided to downsize the bikes as a response to the new GST 2.0 regulations that dropped tax on sub-350cc bikes to 18% and hiked to 40% for bikes above 350cc. The new bike is expected to be priced about Rs 30,000 lower on-road than the 400cc version.

Love it. Try it. The Speed 400 feels smooth, confident and fun on every ride. Whether it's city streets or open highways, it delivers comfort, performance. I smile every time I twist the throttle. You should go for long ride too. I would recommend this bike to everyone who is very keen to riding. Go for the extra aux lights, the present stock one is bit lower side, compare to the cars it is low. Bike is best for daily commute.Read More
