Hero has launched the new Achiever 150 at Rs 61,800 with updated features including the i3S technology.

Hero MotoCorp has launched the updated model of its Achiever 150 with a price tag of Rs 61,800 for the drum brake variants and Rs 62,800 for the disc brake variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new Hero Achieved 150 gets new features including the i3S - Hero's patented idle Start-Stop System. This is the first 150cc bike in the country to get the automatic start/stop technology. The bike also gets a major cosmetic update providing a sportier look to it as compared to the previous model. The design of the bike seems to be inspired by the Xtreme, especially the fuel tank. This makes the package a lot more attractive than before.

Also, there is a special edition of the new Achiever 150 which celebrates the milestone of 70 million customers. This special edition model was the 70 millionth unit to roll off the production line and will be limited to just 70 units across India. It has a black and white paint scheme with tricolour graphics on the fuel tank.

Powering the new Hero Achiever is the same 150cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which is also powering all other Hero bikes in the respective segment. However, the new i3S technology has made this motor more fuel efficient (of around 50kmpl) in real world conditions. The engine has also been retuned for better performance and it now produces 13.6PS of power at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 12.8Nm at 5,000rpm.

The new Achiever 150 also gets a host of new updates like always on headlamps, maintenance free battery, tubeless tyres, side stand indicator and viscuous air cleaner element for the air filter. The Achiever 150 was fully developed in-house at the Global Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. Global launch this bike will take place in Argentina in Buenos Aires after the Dakar Rally.
