Apart from these, Hero could also launch the Xoom 125R tomorrow. It will replace the now-discontinued Maestro Edge 125

Details of Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming sporty 125cc offering, the Hero Xtreme 125R, have been leaked ahead of its January 23 launch, giving us a better idea of what the motorcycle offers. Along with this the manufacturer has also dropped another teaser of the upcoming Hero Mavrick on social media and lastly, we have also been able to confirm through our sources that the Hero Maestro Edge 125 has been discontinued.

Xtreme 125R Details Leaked

The Xtreme 125R features a sharp design and an aggressive look overall, the bike comes with a headlight unit which resembles the one on the Hero Xtreme 200S. The tank extensions are quite sharp and combined with the angular side panels, high-set tail section and tyre hugger, the bike has a very sporty appearance. The Xtreme 125R comes with a split seat setup and features split pillion grabrails.

Powering the Xtreme 125R is the same 124.7cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine which is used on the Hero Glamour Xtec, it produces 10.53PS at 7500rpm and 10.4Nm at 6000rpm. The bike also gets a kickstart like the Glamour.

The chassis is most likely different from that on the other Hero 125cc motorcycles like the Glamour Xtech, and may be borrowed from the Hero Xtreme 160R. It is suspended on a telescopic fork and a monoshock, whereas the Glamour comes with twin shock absorbers.

Braking duties are most likely handled by a 240mm front and 130mm rear drum brake, similar to what we have seen on the Glamour Xtec. Additionally, from what can be seen in the pictures, the naked will feature single-channel ABS as indicated by the writing on its front fork, a first for an air-cooled 125cc bike. The bike rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear.

In terms of features, the Xtreme 125R comes with full LED lighting, which is a segment first. The instrument console is likely to be a fully digital unit with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts along with other readouts like speed, fuel level, odometer and trip meters.

The bike is likely to be launched at a price Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom) and will rival the likes of the TVS Raider 125 and Honda SP 125

Going by the teaser, we can see that the Mavrick will get a large single-piece seat with dual tone and a fuel tank with brush metal finish with the bike’s name written on the side with metal lettering. The bike is going to be unveiled on January 23, 2024, at the Hero World event and we at BikeDekho are looking forward to it.

Maestro Edge 125 Discontinued

The Maestro Edge 125 was an iconic scooter, it came with a stylish design that appealed to a younger demographic. Now the scooter has been discontinued according to our sources. Hero is likely to replace the Maestro Edge 125 with the Xoom 125 like they did in the past, with the Maestro Edge 110 being replaced by the Xoom 110.
