Triumph launched the Dayton 660 in India with a price tag of Rs 9,72,450 (ex-showroom). If you are looking for other bikes around the same price range, here are 5 bikes to consider: 

Triumph Street Triple 765 R - Rs 10,17,000 (ex-showroom)

The Triumph Street Triple 765 continues to look edgy with the luscious design lines and the unique looking headlight. It is powered by a 765cc, liquid-cooled, in-line three cylinder engine producing 120PS at 11,500rpm and 80Nm at 9500rpm, making it the most powerful bike in the segment. The suspension setup consists of a 41mm inverted fork and a monoshock (both from Showa) while braking duties are taken care of by dual 310mm disc brakes at the front and a single 220mm disc brake at the rear. It comes loaded with features such as cornering ABS, switchable traction control, wheelie control and much more. Compared to the Daytona 660, the Street Triple 765 R offers more thrilling performance for a premium of just Rs 44,550.

Another naked bike to consider instead of the fully-faired Daytona 660 is the Kawasaki Ninja Z900. The streetfighter looks sharp and aggressive and is powered by a 948cc, inline-four cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 125PS and 98.6Nm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. An inverted fork and a horizontal back-link monoshock forms the suspension setup while the braking setup consists of dual 300mm front petal discs and a 250mm rear petal disc. In terms of features, it gets a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, all-LED lighting, traction control and three ride modes: Sport, Road and Rain. 

Ducati Scrambler Icon - Rs 10.39 Lakh (ex-showroom)

The latest-gen Ducati Scrambler Icon has a funky and classic feel that makes it an instant head turner and the funky colour schemes just make it stand out among other bikes on the road. The scrambler is powered by a 803cc, L-twin engine producing 73PS and 66.2Nm. It gets a 41mm inverted fork and a monoshock, both from Kayaba, and stopping the bike is a 330mm front disc brake and a 245mm rear disc brake with cornering ABS as standard. With its Rs 10.39 lakh price tag, the Scrambler Icon is the most affordable way to own a Ducati.

Moving on to ADVs, the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE is the bike that replaced the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT in the Japanese manufacturer’s lineup. The all-new bike is based on an all-new platform and is powered by a 776cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 84.3PS and 78Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip-and-assist clutch. It comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument console, three riding modes: Active, Basic and Comfort, bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire, and traction control, switchable ABS, and a big, 20-litre fuel tank. 

Honda XL750 Transalp - Rs 10,99,990 (ex-showroom)

Honda brought back the iconic Transalp nametag with the XL750 last year. It gets a steel diamond frame and is powered by a 775cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine producing 91.77PS and 75Nm. The suspension setup of the Honda XL750 Transalp consists of a 43mm inverted fork from Showa with a wheel travel of 200mm and a monoshock with a wheel travel of 190mm. Braking duties are taken care of by dual 310mm disc brakes with 2-piston calipers at the front and a single 256mm disc brake at the rear with dual-channel ABS. Features include, 5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and voice assist, five riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel and User, all-LED lighting, slip and assist clutch, and much more.
