All said, both bikes cater to different kinds of audiences. The biggest difference is that the Himalayan 440 is more off-road biased, while the KTM Adventure 390 is better suited to highway touring.

Himalayan 440 vs KTM Adventure 390

The Himalayan offers the 21- 17 wheel setup, which is a holy grail for off-road motorcycling. Those who prefer a simple motorcycle with fewer electronic aids and a more raw riding experience will appreciate the Himalayan 440. That said, it can do highway touring without breaking a sweat.

Himalayan 440 vs KTM Adventure 390

The Adventure 390, on the other hand, gets a more powerful liquid-cooled engine which is rev-happy and makes peak power figures higher up at the rev range – giving it a spirited soul when riding.

If your primary use case is highway touring and a bit of soft-roading, the KTM Adventure makes a much better proposition. As it offers much better convenience features, which will clock highway miles effortlessly. But it comes at a premium of Rs 58,820 over the Himalayan 440, which can put it out of the budget for some.

Best cruising segment bike for on road and off road. May performance is best in segment. Powerful engine, previous version of this bike are pretty good but the current version are not practically good or styling. I expect, the upcoming version will fulfil that gap. Just waiting for the official launch of this bike.
